Never thought that Freebitco.in has a mining option now as I've known them to be a good faucet since last year. Will check them out later.

I think browser mining is a good alternative to mining rigs since rigs are very expensive to build but we should be aware that there's only little profit for this kind of mining. I guess we can do this one if we use our computer all day.

Find it hard to understand that someone will use their PC for 24 hours to get only 3000 or 4000 satoshi, this is insane and only complete newbies who do not understand how little that is will try to do such thing.Power consumption it to big and what any user will do to his CPU during that time makes this operation insane.

It's true it's probably not worth the trouble. But some people have access to free electricity. Like students in their rooms, employees that can mine at work at the expense of employer and I believe some countries like Venezuela have free electricity for it's citizens. And maybe they just think even if my computer makes a little more than nothing, it's still better than nothing at all.

But mining Bitcoin with browser is probably the worst option for them. If they wanted to mine some change It would be better to mine some crypotcurrencies on Equihash algorythm with a mining client software. Equihash tends to be the most profitable to mine with CPU's and lower end graphics cards.

not for bitcoin.
but do check out nimiq, the miner client is on browser, so basically you mine nimiq (NET) using browser.
The mainnet is not launched yet.  However you can try out the beta.

You can mine Via desktop browser by Javascript but i won't recommend you that thing because it's too slow. the best way to mine is you have the mining rigs but you should risk big amount of money. it will give you big profit.

JScript when will mining is comes with the JScript alone. You need to have batch file to start mining in your PC but it is profitable way to mine any altcoins as well.
If you wish mine bitcoin you can only go with ASIC miner machines only. Desktop mining may burst your board in your PC.

You should look into https://www.nicehash.com/ if you'd like to mine with your CPU or GPU.. that's the closest I know to mine via a "desktop browser"

You can use miner gate software to mine.Only altcoins could be mined using it.It could be downloaded from their website. Two or three altcoins could be mined at the same time. You could use it to mine monero, zcash or else, you can choose other altcoins.Even with CPU system, you could use their software.

But remember,it may damage the mother board of your laptop or system. Also  you could not expect huge profits from it.

Hi

Are there any websites I can mine via a browser?

i think i remember with minergate which we can mine via a browser by adding some scrypt to our website but i don't know its there is still a chance to us to apply. in that time, i remember we only need to have a website, then we copy the code from minergate and then we need to paste it into our site. but unfortunately, i don't trying it so i don't know how it works and i am only trying with their software to mining with my computer. i think you can visit on minergate to find out more about this.

I tried minergate before cpu,gpu and browser mining but i was not able to mine any coin from that application because i think i have very slow desktop. I am not sure also if there is someone here who is profiting in minergate but if you have a good spec you can try that app but it will eat lot of resources in your computer. anyways best wishes to you.

It looks like a joke. You said that whether we can do mining with the desktop browser. That means you say we can do mining with the browser and you do not mean cloud mining. Look at and learn what mining means, mining requires a very heavy process and it looks impossible if we just rely on the browser. In fact currently circulating tool mining is very sophisticated and expensive. It proves that doing mining requires a very heavy process. The hardware specifications that we belong to must conform to the specific requirements that are compatible with the coin we are mining.
Exaclty. There's no such thing as mining in your own browser. You can utilize cliënts such as minergate but those aren't really profitable nor are they in a browser. A browser can't generate the needed energy/power to solve the hash functions that are required in order to receive freshly mined bitcoins. I also recommend you to properly read up on how the mining process works.

miner gate? heard that but I don't know how its work, maybe im just afraid to take a shoot on that site but as it recommended here at our forum, I think its safe to be use, ming rigs are so expensive and by this suggestion it think ill give a shoot to experience how to mine on some other coins, next to mine is bitcoin if I learn how to mine.

Hi

Are there any websites I can mine via a browser?

yes you can mine bitcoin using a desktop browser , ive seen many sites lately that offers a browser mining but  you cant earn much and its not worth the time to do and i can say that bitcoin faucet is more profitable compared to mining in browsers. if you want to realy mine then buy a hardware miner or asic miner to get the best results although it  would cost you more expenses.

what you mean is that gui for mining statistics right?
what you see in the browser is the status of the miner,
ho much it gets hash, how many shares it gets and how long
but not necessarily mine on the browser just saying

With the help of a browser you will help someone, but you will not earn anything. This has long been clear to everyone.
