Hello all, I'm a longtime lurker here and this is my first post. I've been discovering the crypto market for almost two years now and have been doing quite a bit of research. wanted to know what you think of my crypto portfolio: -NEO -Ark -Nexus -BitBay -Komodo -NEM -NXT -UBIQ -Ardor -Decred -Syscoin bought in april 2017 between 80$ and 200$ of each. All made profits, some of them more than others. Obviously NEO made me the most money, cause back then it was ANS and valued at 0.5$. Do you think NXT will go back up? cause at this point im thinking of selling them and gambling them away. Then I bought around 50$ of Zcash and 50$ Iota in June. (wish I had more of each and sold IOTA at 1$) Then I recently invested in some PAY, XMR, OMG before the crash. I added more NXS thinking it will pump after the conference, but it did the opposite I would appreciate any input (opinion on mentionned coins, speculations, exit strategies, etc...) Thank you!

I'm personally having IOTA and they're improving their platform.
I also have the ones below.
-NEO -Ark -Nexus -BitBay -Komodo -NEM -Ardor
Plus, you can add litecoin, ripple and ethereum classin into your portfolio if you wish.

I agree on LTC and ETC... however never really liked XRP at the time, I chose Ubiq over ETC... now Im starting to think that I should have bought a little of both.

You're missing some masternode coins I think any reasonable cap masternode coin is worth buying and hodling because of the passive income potential (and they are currently greatly undervalued in my opinion) These two sites are worth a look: https://www.investitin.com/masternode/ for the background info and https://masternodes.pro/ for an up to date list of coins and ROI information. I personally believe CRAVE, CROWN, SYNX, BSD and PIVX all have big things planned and will do very well in future and should make their owners very happy.

Like that portfolio a lot more than others i've seen. I may sprinkle in some blocknet, ltc, cloak, pivX obviously some radix and anonymints project if you can get your hands on some. I am avoiding new ico tokens for now and getting back more into pow distributed projects. Although some ico projects are too tempting to dump.

How come you don't have any LTC? Based on what you have it seems like something you'd have. No idea if NXS is going to go up again though. Might be worth waiting longer before you sell it. Usually when I get scared and sell something (normally stocks) it's too early and I lost when I shouldn't have. Just my $0.02 though.

I was holding almost similar amounts of each coin (between 80 to 200 $ depending on coin) but now there is about 8000$ difference between NEO and NXT for example. I'm holding BitBay because even if the project doesn't amount to anything, I believe it will and am ready to gamble on it. I like the project, the developper and the potential. CryptoHunter of course you will like my portfolio, it has BitBay in it for a year now I have been reading posts on bitcointalk, and your inputs were influential for my investments. For the other comments, of course I considered LTC... just never found the right entry time yet. and I do hold BTC, but I needed you guys' opinions on the altcoins mainly. I guess cloak and Pivx are next in line for me.

Your portfolio is good. pivx would be a nice addition. You can check out Waves as well before the next month's update. However the only thing I would suggest is to add the top two coins in the market today (bitcoin and ethereum).

This times lisk looks better than waves, I just imagine if we could get the bottom and just sold our coin for the price recovery and that should be considered as the big chance to get a lot of the profit through short term period.

I'd suggest reducing the number of coins you hold. The more you have, the harder it is to keep up with news on all of them, and you might miss something important. Also I'd add some BTC. Partly to hold and partly to let you do some quick trades if required.

Above list is good to invest, you may add ethereum and waves in your list if you like. These are good coins which a profitable altcoin. Also, you may search other altcoins to invest as there are many worth coins.

Nxt decreased dramatically, from August to September the charts decreased steadily an outstanding supply of 999 million coins, the right decision to release the nxt coin, and if there is a better chance immediately replace the investment

I diversified my portfolio on purpose to reduce risk and maximize chances on holding potential coins that could fly to the moon. have i not done this in April, I would have probably not bought ANS, and missed out on NEO's flight to the moon. it's easy to keep track, an excel file and constant visits to coinmarketcap.com. barely takes 10 mins of my day. Nxt decreased dramatically, from August to September the charts decreased steadily an outstanding supply of 999 million coins, the right decision to release the nxt coin, and if there is a better chance immediately replace the investment
In your portfolio I invest: Ark
Xem Nxt Sys Neo Now they are all very cheap
They definitely did, NXT and the others... if you purchased them the past month. But im still not at loss there (on the contrary i made good money out of these coins and still holding), remember in April the whole crypto market was worth only 30 Bn $. I want to ask the author of this thread, can you tell 3 main features of the coin must have for you to feel familiar to invest?
well I used to ask my self the same question... and the answers I always got was always the same. It is summarized in these few points: -A client, wallet, platform, or product that actually works and has been around for a while. -A reputable dev team. -A reasonable comparison of the crypto's market cap and the market caps of other companies outside the crypto world (ex: if I am intersted in Steem, which i'm not really, I would compare it's market cap to Facebook, a company that offers services that the Steem team is trying to introduce for mass adoption) based on this comparison I calculate the potential for growth of this coin. -Sometimes I invest on hypes, classical buy low on early info and sell high when the hype pumps prices. but this is risky and short term, and I stopped doing so. now I prefer to hodl serious projects. -And even if i'm not a tech guy, you can discern disruptive technology from forums, youtube videos and reviews. (Ex: I had no idea how the bridging thing with Ark will be made and coded, but I read the comments of more tech savvy people criticizing it, or supporting it. when those supporting it convince me, and those criticizing it seem like spreading FUD and advertizing other coins, I buy.) Those are my main pointers.
