In my personal practice there were already about two hundred ico and I can say with certainty that participation in ico is safe, but looking what you mean by security. If you are talking about the possibility of losing money, then ico like other investment projects have the same rules of investing. Well its as safe as anything in the economical world of today, if you are investing your money into something then you have to account for that in the worst case scenario that the investment might go bad, just like with everything else, but if the team and project is solid and the vision and oversight is good then there are low chances of that happening with ICO's but there are so many scammers out there right now that just want a quick buck and actually do not have any project or anything in reality and just write down some fake information and fake profiles and fake idea and then try to scam people, it is really saddening that the world is like this nowadays and even some of these scammers ideas might be good, and they could actually build something great out of it instead of thinking about the quick buck then think long term and put your energy and mind to focus mode and actually build up something that will help the world and change it to the better, we believe that is the way to go here at AirP2P and its saddening to see how the crypto community has taken a negative dive with all of the scammers out there, this also has negative effects on us legit projects and makes investors stressed out to even think about investing in legit projects before they analyze it to the core and even meet with the team members to see that the profiles are not fake.

No it's not safe. Too many scammers, sometimes they just disappear or stop ICO, or postpone offering.

There's still safe and trusted ico around but you really need to be cautious in choosing some ICO because there's still scams circulating in this industry . Before participating in some ico make sure that it's legitimate . It's better to do some research about that coin you choose to check it's credibility.

As long as money is involved, no matter how much, there is always a risk because it might be a scam motivated by a lot of money. Always be careful and always make a thorough background check of the people behind the ICO. Also read the whitepaper because there is always the plan of the company behind the ICO.

The obvious answer is yes but sincerely its more complicated than that. There needs to be a lot of research and precautionary measures to avoid falling for scams and shit projects that will take your money and not deliver anything good
