Hey! I am curious, why teachers and students from Udemy, Coursera, and other services will switch to the ACAD?
Teachers on those resources are paid (depends on how many students bought the course), there are fees, but these fees solve problems of safeness from copy and hacking, marketing - the platforms do it for the teachers. Every student knows where he/she can search and find a needed course. And we need to take into account, that to change the habits (studying at Udemy, Coursera is already a convenient habit) it is not enough for the product just to be better than competitors.

When we release Wallet 2.0 in the next few months we will be working wit a security team again to make sure the reports don’t have false positives again OSX, Linux and Windows wallets have been safe to download since our launch. False positives happen especially on Windows Feel free to private message us  Do you know which software? I'd like to test it myself.
Did you ever get this resolved, or will this be more of an ongoing issue? I would also like to know that. So it will continue to happen, forever? No way to fix it? |

Good question! Educators need a powerful decentralized solution outside of the platform their content is on. Being entirely reliant on one platform to make a living is something too many educators are currently resorting too. A false positive really isn't a big deal. I get it on completely benign programs fairly regularly. Of course it is a big deal. Such as trust and liability, to begin with. This can seriously damage the community and thus affect the initial value of what you are trying to accomplish. Safety against hackers etc... Okay i downloaded and installed the wallet and did not receive Avast false positive notifications on a windows 7 system. So the problem has been solved at least as far as I can see. That's cool you tested it out. Surely it must happen too. And it works fine. |
