bustadice – Next Generation Dice

I've written a bet verifier for bustadice, albeit with a lot of my own code stolen from previous verifiers. You can find it here

Edit: Just like my other ones, it supports things like URL parameters to link directly to specific bets on the verifier

Edit edit: I've also introduced my chat bot, AMBOT into chat. Still in early stages so could be bugs. Do things like convert between currencies, check the last Bitcoin block and see when a user was last seen.

If a command fails, most of the time AMBOT will send you a PM with a reason, but you must add it as a friend first before you can receive PMs.

Bitcoin Gold is scheduled to fork from Bitcoin after block 491406, which will likely be mined today.

bustadice will continue to operate throughout the fork and neither deposits nor withdrawals will be affected. bustadice will not support Bitcoin Gold and there is little reason to believe that Bitcoin Gold will hold much value. However, should the value of BCG consistently exceed 1% of Bitcoin's value, we will attempt to make users' BCG balances available to them once the Bitcoin Gold network launches (scheduled for Nov 1st).

Right, the faucet amount starts at 10 bits and decreases the more you've claimed from it in recent history. Since it never goes below 1 bit you will always be able to play, though. And if you don't use the faucet in a while it will fill up again.

In real life some Dice sites earn more than 1000 Bitcoins, so right now the most important question is to get players for some win via new site. And in this the site investors can need good promotion, which also need some Bitcoins. So all this will not be so easy.

In the future scripts will be able to create their own GUI for configuration, which will make them much more accessible and user-friendly. That's already possible in the upcoming bustabit v2 if you'd like to see what I mean.

Giving players perks based on experience points or something similar sounds nice, but that's more of a mid-term goal. I don't have any promotions planned for the immediate future, but that doesn't mean there will never be any, of course.

Correct, 1 bit is just another way of saying 100 satoshis. So 1,000,000 bits are equal to 1 bitcoin.

It seems like investors are quite steadily losing. The site has been operating for a month now and Profit/EV is -349.6% according to https://dicesites.com/bustadice. I hope the admins are closely watching and considering the possibility of the existence of exploits/bugs.

Fortunately our unique provably fair system gives us very strong assurances that all wins have been legitimate.

In order to be able to predict his rolls, an attacker would have to compromise not only the game server, but also the audit server. The audit server is independently operated and has a tiny attack surface, so I consider that highly unlikely.

As bustadice continues to gain traction we can expect investors' actual profit to converge to their expected value.

Though seriously, there might be something wrong with the code here. Since the investments are down by -73btc. I haven't seen this much losses in any gambling site I've been. Let's also take into account that there aren't much gamblers yet but losses are quite high. Also, there are multiple gamblers that won a lot of bitcoins from this site. That is somehow suspicious since there suddenly are a lot of high rollers that bet that much on the new site and most of the high rollers are winning. I'm not concluding anything, it might be just coincidence.

Maybe I can't argue that this is not provably fair, but maybe there is something in the code that makes chances of winning a lot more higher than the stated chances of winning. I'm just concerned, since I used to invest here and pulled out when I found better opportunities for my money (partly glad I did, since the investors lost 73btc). I'm no expert at coding anything, but maybe some neutral expert on this could check the code for everybody's sake.

Our provably fair system provides us with strong guarantees, so I am very confident that all wins have been legitimate. Regarding the correctness of our code, it might reassure you to learn that using simulations both Ryan and myself have independently confirmed that the house edge is as expected. In addition, blockage has analytically verified that the house edge is 1 %. That being said, anybody that wants to is very welcome to inspect the code responsible for calculating game results and the high-level description of our provably fair scheme themselves.

It's important to view the loss in the context of bustadice's bankroll size: Not to say that Ƀ 75 isn't a lot of money, but it only represents a drawdown of about 2.6 %. While that might be unlucky, it's hardly uncommon for a casino. After all, the point of having such a large bankroll is that we might need it to pay out a lucky player.
