Why you guys are discussing that Bustadice site will stop their service just because of the announcement related to the promotional campaign. There is no reason for Bustadice to stop their service because it is one of the mostly wagered and trusted dice site in the crypto and bitcointalk community.

Its actually a very long journey with bustadice but we also need to accept that every amazing journey has an end so their signature campaign is no more needed since the name already everywhere or possibly there will be a new campaign.

Campaign will be ending on 16th may not the site! (I hope no one will again speculate further about this)

I agree, their signature campaign is already running for over 3 years which gave them a good result to be known and trusted by gamblers who prefer dice game.

Ending of the campaign does not necessarily mean the site will be going to close as well but lets just wait for further announcement.

I firmly believe the site will continue to operate.

Bustadice/bustabit is a leading gambling company, and the most visited, played on platforms in the crypto gambling industry today. Haven’t run their signature campaign on bitcointalk for almost four years I guess they have achieved their well-deserved respect and reputation in the gambling industry. I know for sure that the bustadice team will keep the success story on even now that the signature campaign is coming to a successful ending.

Thanks for the clarification devans, hopefully this will now put an end to the baseless speculation about the closure of Bustadice/Bustabit.
People unfortunately just tend to make a mountain (closing the services behind a signature campaign) out of a molehill (closing a signature campaign) and spread that online as well

They would stop or relaunch it as they like since they do have the budget or capability to do so.It is just now that they do make some cut-off on their campaign and this whole speculative discussions had been

started out by that guy who had posted into their sig thread asking if this one will really be stopped because of sudden stop of the signature campaign.They are presuming that they would see similar issues
which are really tying it up on other platforms or service that had closed their doors when they do stop their campaign.
Dont know on whats the mindset but i cant blame off to have those impressions because commonly it do happen into this market but now that it has been clarified out

Can you remember about "YOLOdice"? you might be seen when Ethan decided to close YOLOdice.com he just announced to close the 4 years long-lasted signature campaign,
Maybe it makes confusion to people's minds to think why bustadice wanted to close their long-run sig campaign.
Since Devans already has been cleared the matter, there is nothing to be upset about. Hopefully, Bustadice will come back with something new and attractive promotion cause there is no doubt that they are one of the well-known and successful crypto-casinos here.

Which "new features" are you talking about? As far as I know devans didn't announce any ... Personally, I also think that Bustadice doesn't need any new features at all. The platform is clearly aimed at heavy players who also like to play script-based and less at the kind of players who log in quickly to throw 1-2$ into slots.

Regarding the end of the signature campaign: As unfortunate as it is, it is also understandable. The goal of a signature campaign is to advertise the respective platform and to attract new customers (and of course deposits). I can very well imagine that after so many years the market here in Bitcointalk is saturated and probably comparatively few new members could be won.

Yes, its clean and sleek so no need for any kind of update, the only update was for the bankroll investors which already rolled out into the site.

And this thread never bumped and fell into spam discussions like few other ANN threads facing so the campaign posters did their job good and feeling good to be a part of it.

Bustadice players have been extraordinary luckily lately (see: dicesites.com/bustadice) which means investors have not. As I am running the bustadice audit sever, I just want to confirm I have actually been auditing the bets. Even if Daniel was malicious (or hacked) I do not believe the results of the audit server could possible be tampered with so I feel quite confident they are all legitimate.

Anyway, I guess that's my yearly audit update 



[Full disclosure: there was a couple of technical hiccups with some server issues and as a result a couple of bets that I can't audit. But fortunately they were all tiny bets, and even assuming they were all illegitimate, it works out to like < 0.001 BTC ]

I can't be certain, but I'd probably guess the recent lack of activity on Bustadice is due to one or two things:

1) People would rather HODL their Bitcoin right now rather than wager it.

2) We're approaching the summer months and people would rather spend their time outside than in front of a computer.

Whatever the real reason may be, the decrease in volume at BaD and BaB is most likely not because of something Bustadice did wrong. From what I can tell, nothing has changed at the world's leading dice site. It still appears that it's "business as usual" at Bustadice and Bustabit.

The decreasing wager volume in terms of BTC can be attributed to Bitcoin's price increasing. For example, take a look at bustadice's wager volume below. It may look like April 2021 was a terrible month with only 815 BTC in volume, but in terms of purchasing power (using USD as a proxy) it saw almost exactly as much volume as April 2019 two years earlier, even though that month saw 9,598 BTC wagered.

Lots of aspects why it happens, and may be some other gambling sites happen to experience it, and bitcoin price falls really have an affect for this.

Of course, one thing has to be said here: Bustadice offers an unbelievably good script support and is therefore especially interesting for "high rollers" who want to place thousands of bets within a short period of time and try different strategies to achieve the highest possible profits.

Of course, Bustadice is also fun for games without bot support, but there is now a lot of supply from many different gambling platforms that are aimed precisely at the short-term entertainment of players and offer, for example, a variety of different games - but little or no scripting support. In my opinion, Bustadice has a completely different target group than Roobet, for example.

Having a chat function adds a sense of community in the site that's why some people want to add it as a feature plus, you have to be a really special person that your opinion that they shouldn't add a chat feature isn't a good thing, I am sure gamblers want to take a break too while not getting out of the site you know?
