I was a little surprised that IOT devices would be running Java with all the talk about Rust, but after a bit of research it seems pretty standard. I wonder will there ever be a possibility of Oyster running on or interfacing with other languages, or will Oyster be limited to and depend on the future of Java?
It's not just java of course. But the most widely used here is Java. Like the traditional saying with java, Write once, run anywhere. That's why it's been widely use.

Some people were constantly saying that if price somehow fall at 4000 satoshi range they will pick up more tokens. I hope they will not miss this chance because I don't think market will let the price go further down. It has already seen bottom and will the next bounce of Bitcoin all these market will be showing rebounding again. I can't buy more else was picking surely more Pearl Oyster tokens.

Oyster has started from 200 sats. Theoretically, the price can go down at 500-700 sats and no one can know whether will it be.

The point is that unlike most of cryptos oysters should be used for paying a service in the real world where market prices exist - and according to market prices for those services oysters should be much more expensive than now. I don't understand why that's not the case yet.

Well, I think the reason is because Oyster is still in beta stage and has limits for commercial usage (ie. 5 MB per file limit). Plus, in the beta stage Oyster storage is free so there's really no need for anyone who wants to use Oyster to purchase PRLs. I guess when the project gets out of the beta phase and they start charging for the storage, the price of the PRL token will rise. I'm sure.

If someone has problems with the voting process or needs help,
here is a little guide from MrRedPanda (oyster telegram group).

Quote from:  MrRedPanda / telegram group
📌 Create an account on Binance.com

📌 Go to the voting platform

https://www.binance.com/vote.html

📌 Use 0.1 BNB to cast your voting right.

📌 Every BNB you hold in your account equals one vote.

So if you paid 0.1 BNB for your voting right and hold 30 BNB in your account - You casted 30 votes.

Max amount of votes is 500. So if you vote with 0.1 BNB and hold 501 BNB (or more) in your account, you still only cast 500 votes.

📌 You must hold all BNBs until the voting ends and the final snapshot is taken.

❗️Voting end: 19.06.2018 - 0:00 AM (UTC) ❗️

Lets vote guys!!

I wouldn't underestimate Pundi. They are currently one of the only viable POS systems for crypto. Right now they are not able to make their devices as fast as they sell them. Huge backlog of orders

You are absolutely right there will be head to head competition among two projects one Oyster Pearl and other has been mentioned up. We are strong community which is very active and has shown its strength during last voting on Huobi. That spirit and support is what Pearl need's once more and whenever will be we should do our best.

Quote
A couple of days ago the founder sold 1.2m prl (which is more than 1% of total supply) because "he owed someone a favor"

Is this true? If so I'm out, selling for further development is fine. Not personal issues.

I think a third party gateway could seriously hurt early on. I won't debate that further.
If this risk materializes I will gladly point out that it was easily avoidable.
