Fiat money will not be replaced even though digital money will become popular in the future, I personally admit if digital money will have good prospects in the future and will make people easier to transact. But I still support fiat money should always be there and I do not want to leave fiat money.

I know it may not be possible right now, but do you think fiat will be gone in the future?
Maybe in replacing the Fiat is still a long time but reliable in this case certainly every year the invention of new technology will be more sophisticated and did not rule out all these events can happen instantly without thinking before.

this will never happen, have read tons of question like this but no, an unregulated currency replacing fiat? no way, it's ok be a dreamer but come on, be real.
Way too many interest behind, big company, government, banks and so on, it will never happen (at least while we're alive who knows what will happen in 150 years?)

I agree with this comment. I don't understand why people still asking this kind of question which really have an obvious answer which is not. Bitcoin price is in fiat whic is why we can say that it has a high value, so if fiat is out then how can we get the value of bitcoin. Maybe bitcoin is more comparable to gold or any other valuable materials which has limited stocks than saying it will replace the circulating money in our world today.

For me , I don't think that fiat would be replaced by digital currencies because there are lot's of things to consider before going through with all this changes. And we people are naturally adapted with the use of fiat and if ever fiat would be replaced with digital currencies there are so many things that is to be processed so I don't think fiat would be replaced by digital currencies, and I don't think governments would be able to agree on it.

I think its impossible. We see that it takes a huge roll to people and to government. Government will not allow to replace the fiat over the digital currencies, there would be a conflict between people. Some of the digital currencies are not enough to replace the fiat.

I don't think so. Bitcoins and other cryptocurrency currency cannot replace bitcoins because of the fact that most of them (specially bitcoins) have no fixed prices therefore it will be hard for financial institutions to sustain an acceptable fixes value for bitcoins. The price of bitcoins is continuously moving making it extremely unpredictable and volatile.

I do not think so, and I will hope it will never happen. you are talking about digital currency, which means connecting to internet, local BANK also have it, such as e-banking, m-banking, credit card, and most of all is having physical (metal and paper) that can be used even though internet and the electricity is off. Then how can digital currency replace it? I would prefer if the digital currency and fiat will go side by side.

It can't replace fiat money. It will be hard for all of us if our world turned into a cashless society. Not all of us are capable of using the internet, let alone that they don't have gadgets to use and are now really aware of bitcoin. We've been using fiat money for centuries so it should not be replaced by digital currencies. Also, the government will not let this happen, they don't have control over this one so they do anything to prevent this.

This. Digital currencies and fiat can coexist, contrary to popular opinion.
If we look at both the things that is paper money and digital money, then we’ll experience this thing that both of them are equally necessary for this society. There is no possible way that we can survive without having either of both. Paper money is being used since centuries and people will continue to use it in the future as well. This world will really be a good place having both paper money and crypto currency.

Many FIAT currencies are already in a pseudo digital world. I dont think if all the US dollars and Euros are actually printed in a tabgible format, I think many of them exist in bytes only. The next question is whether or not FIAT coul ever move to block chain and that would be a much bigger move for governments and central banks. I am not sure that they will want to give up control, lets wait and see if it will actually happen.

i think crypto cant change the flat money, because we need money / currencies phisically to use it offline in offline store or any merchant without internet, if crypto can do a transcation without an internet maybe it will replace the fiat for the next era

No, that will never happen. In order to use bitcoin or the other coins, you need first to have an internet connection. Using digital currencies will be impossible without an internet connection. Not all people have an internet connection. Currencies and digital currencies have their own characteristics and advantages so it is better if we will use both of them together.
Mate your opinion is not according to reality because bitcoin has gained so much popularity and the investors belief that now people are asking to implement bitcoin currency system in their region because they are sick of using piece of paper which can only be used as payment but bitcoin provide its versatility and volatility to people to achieve maximum profit and cash is not delivering this thing that’s main reason.

Yes it's not possible to replace fiat currency, since from very long time people are using fiat money, digital currency means only for purchasing through onlie,in many places digital currency not accepted.

I think it is possible. In our country we have a city that have an ATM Machine of bitcoin although i haven't tried it and saw it but many of my kababayan told that there was an ATM. And even in buying loads i actually did buy using bitcoin. So there is a possibility that bitcoin or digital currency can replace fiat..

I think it's possible , but not now. Perhaps after 30 years, digital currency will replace fiat.

This is unlikely to happen anytime in the near future. Fiat has been part of the exchange and trading system for centuries now and has built a solid foundation around it. And the governments have invested so much in the production of fiat which is one factor why fiat will stay. Digital currencies can co-exist with fiat but not replace it.
