HI,

I yesterday got the email that my reclaim has been  successful and that I could log into my account as soon as the site opens.
Today I found out about the "check your balance"-tool and tried to see what's going in im my account.

To my utter surprise neither the new nor the old password worked when trying to check my balance!!!

ANYONE THE SAME PROBLEM?

SOULUTIONS?

Thank you.

Same here. "Error in login or password" with both new and old password.

I was able to check my balance.. you'll all be thrilled to know my 58 cents has been accounted for, although thats small consolation to those who are anxiously awaiting to hear the outcome of far larger amounts.  Really hope this sorts its way out, for them, and the good of bitcoin!

At least this problem seems not to be a single case.

If more people have this problem it is more likely to get fixed.

It really would be bummer if we could not log in before trading started!

Thanks for sharing!

It was reset when you went through the claim process.  If the process was not completed you can't login.  If it was completed properly then triple check the password and make sure all numbers, letters, and characters are proper.  That being said if you still can't get in you're SOL for now.

They confirmed my account but I seem to have forgot my new passowrd. That is the issue. Which in a normal, professional company is no issue as they can reset it within minutes

Yet it may take hours for Mt. Gox to help you out.
At what point did you think you were dealing with a "normal, professional company" in Mt. Gox?
What did it for you?  Their over-the-top web design?  Advanced trading tools?  Sophisticated, deep market?

They're not Citibank.  Either they've taken off with the money and all of this is meant as a stall tactic, or (my guess) they're flogging their fingers off trying to completely overhaul their system.  If you think their responsiveness has been or is unacceptable, take your business to one of the "normal, professional" exchanges.

My balances are correct!  hooray!!   Now just let me back in to trade....

Hmmm...  it MIGHT have been easier last week to just say, this is gonna take awhile....   We'll definately be open by the end of June, and then if things went better than expected, surprise us - as opposed to the silly another 24 hour delay...  and the latest 12 hours...  lol...  we've all been GOXED

A "forgot password" link is now on the claim.mtgox.com/status.html page.  Sends an e-mail with a password reset link.

I was getting an incorrect password error when trying to login to my account.  I had to reset my password.

Now I can login and see my balance.  All systems go!

This is really strange - I've tried this password recovery, replaced the password and tried to login again - the same failure.  Now, before starting a full paranoia, I am thinking that maybe they have some MySQL database that truncates the password I am entering or something.  Unfortunately I cannot get another password recovery chance it says it is sending the email with a new password recovery key - but nothing new arrives, the first recovery email was there in seconds.

Same with me, i did a password reset and still cant login. If we go live and i cant access that piece of shit, im going to be really pissed off!
