Likely scam

The picture of the hardware is actually an ASICMINER Bitcoin ASIC USB (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195004.0)

It hashes SHA256, therefore it would not work on the BitBar network because Bitbar uses Scrypt.

This is probably just another lame attempt from Trucoin to pump up Bitbar prices....

Your scam might be more effective if:

(1) You spelled ASIC correctly

(2) You used a real picture rather than one stolen from a Bitcoin product

(3) You did not have a reputation of trying to sell cheap garbage at 10x the market value

Yes, yes, and yes. Sorry TruCoin, there's no f'n-scrypt ASIC and BTB isn't worth investing in it for anyway.

Indeed. Ironically I actually own 2 of these 'gold' USB sticks that I brought off ebay last week with the intention of putting a BitBar .wallet containing a BitBar (and perhaps a few Bitcoin's as well) to add some 'novelty' value for resale and advertising purposes. You can find these 'gold usd sticks' on ebay ranging from 4GB to 128GB for under or around £10-£15 and they have nothing to do with mining.

I'm also part of the German group buy for the pictured USB ASIC (real). See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195037.0

These ASIC sticks run so hot that if you did actually manage to put one of these inside the 'gold' USB stick housing, it would melt the plastic components and also protrude from the sides as well. Also, you can't mine BitBar (scrypt) with an ASIC, as already stated above.

I'm actually working on a totally separate project for a USB FPGA miner for scrypt based coins.

I'm using the Xilinx® Spartan®-6 FPGA LX9 MicroBoard: http://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/AES-S6MB-LX9.htm

with 2 added PmodSF2 - Serial PCM, 128 Mbit: http://digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,401,840&Prod=PMOD-SF2

This is a personal project and I'm having to design / build software to get these working to try and overcome the difficulties of scrypt mining being very memory intensive. If / when I can get these working then I may offer them for sale with the software as custom built scrypt mining kits. Running 4 sticks with an Rpi might present an opportunity for ROI vs electricity usage and purchase costs etc.

I will start a new thread, away from this BS thread, when / if I have everything fully working and some units built and ready to ship.

Good luck with your design and and production of the FPGA storage wallets. I think that it a great idea and wish you the best of luck in your execution.

I'm not sure how hot they might become, maybe look to an anodized aluminum for the construction of the case Gold in color with the BitBar logo whatever that may be

Its all about what the people want...

Wouldn't an ASIC scrypt miner with the required RAM be larger and more power hungry than USB can supply?

My Techs are saying that the size of the USB drive is going to be a little larger than the average . As for keeping the USB cool the design will include Rare metals  for casing. that's all i can say for now due to disclosure issues

Techs are using some rare metal to keep USB cool .Our design is radical to say the least but for disclosure i cannot include details.
