If Bitcoin want to replace gold, then it should provide those advantages which gold is currently providing to its investors. Some of these advantages are:

1. Protection against inflation
2. Low volatility
3. Wide acceptance
4. Legality
5. Ease of conversion to other assets.

Gold will never be replaced. It is a tangible asset that has proven to be a store of value for millennia.
But Bitcoin could be some sort of digital gold, which is still very good.

I dont think so that bitcoin can replace gold as you can see. Gold is very popular and no one can replace the value of it. And if you exchange the value of it definitely you will earn more. Im looking forward to the secondary that bitcoin is more powerful than gold.   Same as gold the value of bitcoin is will be getting increase if you can exchange or will you trade from it.

It is really no use to bitcoin replacing gold. They are used in very different ways. First of gold is physical and sometimes used for jewelry and electronic parts. Bitcoin is digital. But if you are referring to bitcoin replacing gold in terms of status I think it is possible. By status, I mean the global consensus that if you hold many bitcoin/gold then you are considered rich.

I don't think that it is possible to replace gold with bitcoin. First we have to understand and accept also that GOLD is a precious metal which maximum people use it as jewels and few rich big shots are investing in gold to have control on it. But bitcoin is a digital money the cryptocurrency is getting more popular than before and we have to accept the truth that cryptocurrency is going to make big revolation in economic world.

It's difficult even to compare the usefulness of gold and bitcoin in the real world. Gold has been used as currency for more than 2700 years and although you will not go to the nearest café with a gold bar it's always relatively easy to change it by dollars.

I think bitcoin can only replace bitcoin in among the men , but not for women, gold for women is a tool in use such as a bracelet to beautify herself.
Well you are right women love to have gold but the reality is that they love to have money as well. Money is the need of the day and it is more important than gold, bitcoin is money maker it is source to increase your financial power. Future is bright with bitcoin as now it is growing fast; investment today is a guarantee for future so it is beneficial for men and women at the same time. It is easy to carry a lot of bitcoin in your bitcoin wallet without any fear of getting robes because it has wallets but you cannot carry a lot of gold as it will be risky for your life.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and there is no reason for bitcoin to replace the gold as an one of the best asset because gold is not a form of currency and it is just an asset, a precious metal that its price or value is slowly going up. Bitcoin is being used in other way and not same as gold which it is usually just getting bought because of the stability or a safe haven for money.

it’s doubtful that the same applies to cryptocurrencies. Despite what the crypto-evangelists will tell you, digital tokens will never and can never replace gold as your financial hedge. Here are six reasons why:
#1: Cryptocurrencies Are More Similar To A Fiat Money System Than You Think.
#2: Gold Has Always Had And Will Always Have An Accessible Liquid Market.
#3: The Majority Of Cryptocurrencies Will Be Wiped Out.
#4: Lack of Security Undermines Cryptocurrencies’ Effectiveness.

According to my researches, about bitcoin's nature, we can say that it has the potential to be lined with precious things. However, we must take into consideration that bitcoin itself does not exist physically and it price is fluctuating unlike gold that stays at its value even after all these years. I would say it has the potential but I can't confirm or conclude myself that bitcoin will be able to replace gold because of the said reasons above.

Gold is a liquidity which is trending in the economy from the ancient times as it is part for tradition and culture in country, bitcoin is a digital currency which is not better liquidity in the market. There is no point when we are trying to compare Bitcoin with Gold as their potentiality varies in the economy.

I do not think Bitcoin will replace gold. Each type has different meanings.
In the long term, Bitcoin will be valued as a hoard.

Gold will always be asset with its own value, oil cannot replace gold, and the gold cannot replace oil, and bitcoin is modern asset, digital one, so it is independent and replacing of the gold is not the aim and concept.

Gold is still going to be significant like for using it as a jewelry and bitcoin can't do that. Bitcoin is just best at doing digital transactions and it will stay that way so it won't replace anything thats has physical form with value except fiat.

I don't think so that bitcoin can replace gold because gold is more high in age then bitcoin and users of gold throughout the word is very large in number as compare to gold while other quality in gold is that people are like more to wear gold they are not only doing trading while this quality is not in bitcoin so i don't think so that bitcoin will replace gold.

Gold in general is no better. The value of gold is nothing more than a result of a global consensus - at the moment everyone agrees to consider gold a measure of value, simply because this measure is in some form or another necessary. If we assume a utopian situation, that tomorrow everyone agrees that gold is not such a measure, then it will be good only for the production of quality wires and trinkets.
The btc is gaining momentum for exactly the same reason - the global consensus towards the btc is constantly being strengthened. In this case, unlike gold, the cue-ball is not only a measure of value, but also a settlement system, and gold is not a competitor for this parameter.

I doubt it if bitcoin can ever replace gold. Both gold and bitcoin have something in common to every investors and that is profit but looking at the dynamics features of gold that is what it can be transformed to and how its generally acceptable all over the world then bitcoin that is still thriving to enter some countries will not replace it now or in future. Gold is a natural resources while bitcoin is human oriented idea.

In India it is not possible, bitcoin can't replace gold. Peoples are thinking gold is only way of secure investment. Most of the people in Indi don't know about bitcoin. The present generation youths only knew about bitcoin. If all people know about bitcoin they will really move from gold to bitcoin.
