Powerledger has a great whitepaper. I would consider loading up on Powerledger. The ICO is running now and it is super cheap. Check it out here

Who of you flip the ICOs? I mean buy during presale (ideal situation) or during ICO and sell everything once it hits exchanges. When do you sell the coins? Within first minutes? Or do you wait some time? What is the best strategy? thx
I have sold Monaco for 1$ just after it got listed on bittrex but regretted that decision because it hits $20+ just after 10 days.  Sad Sad

I could have made $8000 with my 400 Monaco which I have bought during ICO but I sold them for $400.  Angry

I don't think flipping is ideal strategy...

Wow this makes me feel a lot better about my Monaco mistake. I did exactly the same as you but with 290 Monaco. Feels bad man.

I made some quick bucks flipping kyber  and salt which luckily i was able to get registered for the whitelist of. However I think the time of making this kind of money has far gone now. Most of good long term ICO's such as Blackmooncrypto and MobileGo which had gathered more than 30MIL and 50MIL are trading under the ICO price. IF you are looking to flip ICO's, I think hardcap should be under 3MIL

Oh god it sucks!
In any case, you received the income. Impossible to guess what price will show the coin. I think it's always better to have a small income and a large lost opportunity income how long to wait for the price rise and eventually lose everything. The market is full of offers and if you will always have a small income it will bring you a better result than risk losing it all.

One of the ICOs I really dont wanna flip is PALLY APP Smiley https://www.pally.co/

I usually flip ICOs but sometimes I dont flip and just hold for a long time...it is the case of PALLY APP as well!

Amazing team behind the project, pretty low HARD CAP, it means loads of space to improve !! take a look and let me know

I still think there's value in holding at least a small percentage of your total holdings in projects that you really like/believe in.

If flipping I think you should be happy if you hold for a few days and get 3-5x return, plenty of ICOs coming through with the potential to keep doing this.

short term flipping is likes gambling, it is just luck!
if you get it, good! but i don't think we can replicate to all other ICOs.
different ICO require different strategy, so best is to choose which one you understand, and believe it will deliver in long term.
of course you can trade it in short/medium term to earn extra, good things is if when it drops before you manage to sell, you can always hold it as you understand it and believe in it in the first place.

I'm  usually do this nly with weak projects. The strong ones (like OmiseGO and Civic) I'm trying to keep for long term.

Flipping requires a totally different strategy, one that's more like an ebeneezer scrooge strategy.

For max profit, it doesn't matter how great the team or project is, there a three basic things that matter: hype, initial coin supply and what % of it is available to those who participated in ICO, and when and what exchanges it will be listed on.

If hype is big, expect to dump them fast.
If initial coin supply is lower and distributed evenly, wait for larger gains before you sell.  If a large percentage is in the hands of developers or whales expect a huge dump.
If the coin is listed on limited exchanges then expect harder sells, the more variety the faster you can liquidate.

...well, obviously this is pump and dump mentality which many (including me) believe is ruining the world of crypto.  But fast money can be made albeit with many risks.
I guess the question is, should it be made that way?
Wouldn't it be more satisfying to invest in projects that you believe in and have something to offer rather than join the thousands flocking to crypto in hopes of being an overnight millionaire?

flipping is generally discouraged.. it's straight market manipulation and does not offer anything but short term profits. People are buying a presale, the coin pops to the market, they make a 300% return and sell the entire thing. This might work once, or twice, but you'll get busted one time and it'll hit you art (like a scam, or people selling sooner than you). One way or another try to avoid flipping, just buy and hold whatever you believe has a future.

Since I can sell my coins 24/7 (dont need to sleep at all lol) I dont think sbdy would sell my coins earlier than me Smiley. Thank you, I think i will try to grab easy 300% profits Smiley

It depends, some altcoins are gold. So they kept it whatever happens. If you bought a not so good ICO with lots of discount. Better SELL it all. Be first to sell it in the exchange site. Wait for some investors to dumped it. If the ICO has a bounty, wait for the arrival of bounty hunters as they will dump all their coins too. Once the coin reached the hell. But it all from the Dip. Wait for it to grow. #PROFIT

Theoretically, it is a right method and gives you profit. But in the real world nobody gets rich with ICO flipping. You'll finally get burned somewhere, and you never get any big money...

You want real money? The only road that leads there, is to long hodl valuable assets. I remember I was told this 1000 times, but like every other newbie I needed to be thought by a cruel teacher called "experience".  Cry

If you can do good researches, flipping ICO is possible cause a lot of ICO has shown that the value will increase after ICO. Like 0x has x6 in value even during ICO, kyber now is about x3.5 while chainlink is about x4. MTH is initally about x2. However, i do not sell all the tokens and i usually hold promising long term ICO while i take back my base. In this way, i would see the current ICO tokens as free and i wont fear even when the price drop.

how is it possible that the price grows even during ICO? How can I spot this ICO?
