For me major factor is DEV activity, if dev team is active, they deliver promised features on time, team is growing then project is legit

Personally new alts will get more attraction and can be very bullish within a few hours and you can actually earn alot by buying that alt in it's ICO but mostly you hold it not sell it in the very beginning.

I trust a new altcoin only if the coin has a good tech behind it and reputation. Sether has a great tech, awesome advisors and super reputation. If these qualifications are done there is no reason to fail a coin Here is the link to website : https://www.sether.io

What make me trust any coin is a combination of many factors. I try to look for source code of any coin on github. I look for how much contribution has been made to it's development and the integrity of he code!
Actually one of my friend he was using bitcoin and I thought that he is just wasting the time so I fell that he is going to change the life style because first he buy a new car and then after some time he start trading and now he is buying a new house so I ask him how you did this then he told me that all is just because of bitcoin so then I also join bitcoin and start using it now I have also a lot of money and for that I’m thank full to bitcoin.

I like to see a strong team and I pay attention to details to see if they are a healthy mix of business and tech experts or are leaning to one side or another. My conclusion is - the tech-oriented team is less likely to gather enough funds for the ICO, but they are way better for the project in the long run. The business-oriented team is more likely to gather the funds but tend to put the profits in front of the well-being of the project.

This is one of the most awesome questions I have encountered today.
What makes me trust an alt coin , is first of all and the most important is the transparency , where everything is going , addresses containing the funds and the code of the wallets and block chain open for the public to see and explore and decide if it's worthy and trustable. I hate joining a coin which doesn't let you in with the details about what they are doing with the premines and stuff like that if they have a huge amount of premines, why? because most coins turn scam by holding a big percentage of the coins which is premined and then releasing them when the coin it self gains value thus screwing all people who put effort in investing in the coin or that tried to advertise it.

Good Team, Good idea with good future aspects and prospects with long sustainable idea which can possibly give good return if I talk about investment opportunity. Also there are new upcoming gaming coins being released or will be in near future which looks good for gamer. For daily usage I don't really trust and mostly I cannot use them as only few altcoins are being accepted by goods trader online or local.

i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?
There are a number of things i tend to focus on due to solid advice from my mentors. First thing to look at is the scope of thee tangible product or service the team is looking to bring to the world, or already has developed. I look at it with skeptical lenses to determine how realistic it is and how realistic adoption will be. Next look at the team that is developing the entire project. Make sure they have contact information or social media profiles so you can determine how real they are and how much value they are actually bringing to the table. Then take a look at their development roadmap. See if they have accomplished the things that they have claimed they would in a timely manner. Pay attention to what is up and coming. Finally what I do is a quick Google search of their brand name to see what media is out there about their project. I look for partnership news, the addition of new team members, the upkeep of their slack or telegram accounts, and any news about them being listed on a new exchange.

I generally appreciate a new altcoin with a professional DEV team, good community support, a big support community, a clear roadmap, whitepaper and a well-planned implementation. Here are a few factors that help me evaluate a new altcoin capable of further research and decide to invest in it if its really good. Because investing is risk-taking, so a bit of adventure is great.

What makes me believe in the new Altcoin is that Developer is always active, has a Coin Supply of less than 100 million coins, and lastly Listed on Major Exchange. And I'm sure you have the same thoughts with me.

nowadays there are many new altcoins, it is very reasonable because they want to compete to create good coins and get many benefits. I often learn about altcoin just past the whitepaper, website. there we can get various information about an altcoin. so we'll know a good coin.

Technology - innovation or warming up existing ideas? Niche - new or full of competitors? Dev team - several skillful persons working on code and communication or one man show? Appearance - reasonable website, wallet and social media? Gain potential - low market cap compared to similar projects?

I trust a coin if the team involved in the coin is very active in social media, the existing community (interest) and ICO rating because I think it's all very important and connected.

besides this, we should try to talk with the dev so we can get much information from them and could make us trust the projects. there are many others that could make us trust with them and they should cooperate too with their investor or new people which want to invest in the project. it is better if we knew the dev and the team from a long time so we can know how good he is when he work in the project.

Mostly I see the team member reputation before investing in an ICO. ICO's are scam because their team member have intentions to scam and loot people. All other things like whitepaper, product, launching platform are all secondary things, it all have sense if the ICO is genuine.

i wont trust a new altcoins if i dont see the long term process of that coins, like will that coin is supported by community, how the team will encrease the value of their coin on the market, and the results they achieved, from that i will start investing with small amount and put my trust in the new altcoin.

Just to wait and watch to grow it in the initial period. I think you can also check the ico by reviewing its team and thus will help to check it's potential also.I trust new altcoins by seeing it's potential to grow. And of course it should have a roadmap wherein you can see that this altcoin is for long-term investment. You must also know the purpose of this coin.

The thing that makes me trust a new altcoin is the whitepaper of it. In every new altcoins that got my attention, i put some time and effort to read their whitepaper and to have some knowledge about the coin so i will understand what they are and to find out if they have some potential for the next few years as an investment.
