prohibiting exchanges not banning Bitcoin, these are different matters. I've read that russia legalizes Bitcoin, just like Japanese welcomed the Bitcoin market warmly. the Russian government says that bitcoin transaction can be tracked and that’s why it’s legal.

this news doesn’t say that Russia bans Bitcoin, they only prohibit Exchanges because Bitcoin is assumed has very high risk to be used as a tool of investment. this is to protect their citizens who use Bitcoin because of its volatility.

They did not ban bitcoin, they only prohibit to exchange bitcoin to their fiat money. You can still own bitcoin even if you live in Russia. I believe they will soon accept bitcoin once almost every nation accept bitcoin.

This article doesn't exactly say that they are banning bitcoin. It's just they block exchange in order to protect Russian BTC users because it's one of the biggest tool for invedtment. I think Russia means no harm, they want to protect and wsrn their people.

I think the Russia is just trying to regulate the bitcoin and they are not banning bitcoin because if they ban bitcoin then you will see the results in the price like what happened in china, when they banned bitcoin then they easily make the price dump and right now you cannot see any dumps in bitcoin so the banning in bitcoin in Russia is not true.

I don't see that as a coming ban on bitcoin. Russia is actually trying to regulate cryptocurrencies as they are planning to launch their own CryptoRuble https[Suspicious link removed]cutive-order-for-cryptoruble/

Same reason china gave when they banned exchanges. Its not a total ban but probably on its way to regulation. If you think about it, they have a point though banning won't be able to do anything about it

The more you put regulations on it the more precious it will become for people, Did not we Just reached 5.8k USD after china put a lots of regulation.

after malaysia and then now russia, this happen because they are aware of the power of bitcoin the power of untraceable. thats the true power of bitcoin Bitcoin remains trackable, that article doesn’t say it can’t be tracked, we are discussing about the Russian government planning to ban on Exchanges due to the Bitcoin’s very volatile nature, their reason is to protect their citizens who use Bitcoin. if you talk about other articles it’ll be another matter especially if you haven’t read the news.

I think this article is legit, but none the less even if Russia and China have already banned cryptocurrency, still many countries today still accept bitcoin so we don't need to worry a thing about this kind of news.

As there is currently no such prohibition on bitcoins and operations with it in Russia. However, in Russia, state agencies are proposed to prohibit the cultivation of bitcoin on farms at home and allow only specialists to buy / sell bitcoin.
