this news shocked me, I'm so worried about Bitcoin in the future,  Huh

I'll wait for the news why the Russian government banned Bitcoin and hopefully their explanation is clear the reason ..

Russia has been trolling everyone here for years, and yet people get affected by whatever Russian statement. Bitcoin doesn't rely on one or several countries -- if Russia wants to play hard to get, then let them do that, Bitcoin won't give a single damn. If you're really shocked, maybe you should spend some time into learning about why governments and banks don't like Bitcoin. I am quite sure that your shock will turn into understanding, but at the same time put a smile on your face. Wink

Is there anyone left who gives a shit what Russia thinks or does any more?

There'll be someone along tomorrow telling us that Putin will be put on the blockchain next week.

Compared to China they're really not very good at coaxing Bitcoin's penis out of its knickers only to spurn it again.

What kind of line will the government of Russia not know, but President Putin considered,
that the crypto currency has serious risks, creating the possibility of money laundering, tax evasion, financing of terrorism and the spread of fraudulent schemes.
And, as you know, the words of the president in Russia mean a lot.

Looks legit news, yet there is no confirmations if it is real, also i thought russia is already into btc mining and they are supporting blockchain, so why are they gonna block btc trades in their country? Somehow confusing
These Govt's ban such activities mainly for Taxes and some people use illegal activities. As far as I am seeing Bank are in a loss when people are using Bitcoin to transfer the funds.
Bitcoin now is nearly $5000 so Anti Govts doesn't want to move a ahead. let see next which country will ban Bitcoin?

Its good that they educate the public about the dangers of Bitcoin but can't really agree about the limitation of freedom to make your own mistakes.

If you still think that Bitcoin is safe store of value think what happens when economic depression hits on. Stock market crashes gives you some idea. Mr. Market decides Bitcoins value so in no way can it considered "safe store of value". All it takes is one big whale to start selling and it may lose 75% of its value in an instant.
If a whale starts selling the coins, we might see price drop. But as soon as the price starts to drop, new investors will get an opportunity and start investing and join the game. This will cause the price not to fall down freely, balancing out the situation. No ways the price will go below 75% of the current value.

All the governments will try to shut down bitcoin for sure, but russia? seriously? i though that this was one of the countries that most supported bitcoin at all, it is really impresive for me.
I dont think it is real, can anyone confirm it? how do we know if this hasn't been writen by a troll or by a normal user?
please try to give more explanations about it, if it is real, then it would be a mess.

Drop would be limited if it's not universal and global. Anyway, I don't think Russia will ban bitcoin here. This is not logical because it's the center of ethereum as you all know. No reason to ban it.

Russia is doing the same thing as China has done in last month. They are going to ban exchanges, not the bitcoin. This is in favor of bitcoin, not against it. Bitcoin is copeting with all other alt-coins, I guess Russia does this to sustain the appreciation of bitcoin. After what China has done last month in favour of bitcoin (by banning all ICO's and all exchanges), Russia is coming and is continuing this trend. Now Russia is more progresist than USA, and they make all they can to help improve the bitcoin and impose it on the market.  Bitcoin is the future and all Asia and Eastern Europe has recognized this.

In Russia we keep hearing contradictory statements. It all depends on what mood woke up Putin. I generally don't pay attention to their statements. Russia is a big country in size but the population is small. They can not affect the market of bitcoin. I don't think they're ready now to ban bitcoin. Russia's economy shows steady decline in and so nobody will deprive people of the opportunity to provide for themselves. Why do they need food riots?

Compared to China they're really not very good at coaxing Bitcoin's penis out of its knickers only to spurn it again.

Probably only Kremlin trolls and the usual FUD spreaders , lambchop style.

Russia means nothing. An economy that is under California.. of sorry also Texas, of wait also New York in terms of GDP , a failed state that is the largest country in the world full of oil gas metals gold everything and their economy is the size of Spain.

Who the hell would care what Russia will do?
Even if they do "ban" bitcoin again, nobody will follow them as nobody but Syria and NK are crazy enough to believe that Russians are doing smart things.

Their population is not small. They are the largest country by population in Europe and 9th in the world.
But they are dirt poor, so again , nobody gives a damn what they do.

I don't think this news is truthful. For me it sounds more like marketing manipulation by rumors, making people panic sell. Bitcoin cannot be banned by no country.

Rave! Recently, even on federal TV channels, they began to talk about the crypto currency. And only on the good side. I think people are preparing quietly to the fact that bitcoin will soon enter our life.

I also read the article and I don't know what to say.. it looks like fake news for me. As far as I know, the Russians are pretty crypto-friendly.

this seems like a try as market manipulation to me. Russia is one of the big player like China. considering their games to each other, I really don't think that Russia would ever ban BTC.

That is pretty much manipulation clearly. Why on earth Russia would leave the game. That's the last thing that I can believe at the moment.

These type rumors are working for some time first China and now Russia even its not recognized by any one but still this is not going to have any impact on bitcoin because now its already going to be more popular in many parts of world
