Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

IMPORTANT UPDATE AND DECISION TO TAKE

The Abjcoin Team has spent over $100,000 to buy back hack funds. We did not say this publicly earlier because we know the hackers are following the community updates.  We have tried negotiating with the hackers via emails provided by the exchanges, for hacker to have a deal with us and sell coins to us. All five hackers has refused and seems they still have over 600,000 ABJ, and all they want it to keep crashing price to destroy the  project and make the community loose trust.

Price has dropped again to about $0.06!

Since we have done all we can and the hackers do not wish to sell to us other than spoiling the project. We might be considering a hard fork of 500:1 Ratio. Both chains will run independently and will be on exchange but the team will focus on the new chain and do a swap of 500:1(500 of old chain equals to 1 of new chain).

We have done all our consultation and this might be the only option left for the team.

how would a hard fork at 500:1 help...hackers would still get new coins too and could just dump on new chain too right? you just have to ride it out...who really cares about the price except for people who bought in at higher rates...they just have to hold until price eventually recovers...everyone can buy coins at cheap price and be happy and use them just as planned...right? maybe thats too simple but why screw everyone by doing a 500:1 split...doesnt that just f*** everyone over even harder...youre depleting my stake by 500 times...thats crazy...

If the community reach a consensus in this, we will go ahead with the fork. Hard fork is the only way forward if hacker don't want to sell over 500,000 Abj left with them. If we do not go for hard fork, then the hackers will keep spoiling project until all his coins is finish and this can take so long and restrict the project.

The hard fork is not a decision yet, but might be the only way left.

The total of 5 hackers wallet we got from exchange, has received over 1,500,000 Abj.  500:1  Ratio will help the community recover from the lost than the hackers controlling the community . We have communicated to buy coins back and burn, but hackers not willing to sell.

500:1 will stop the hackers from controlling the community and fighting against the efforts of the team in moving the project forward.

You are stupid, more investors invest more BTC to buy ABJ. Now swap 500:1. And your project still hacked. Haha. If anyone invest 5BTC into ABj now only 0.01BTC. Good job. Dont try to get more money.

This is one of the suggestion by team members, but hackers has scattered coins into two many address and seems we cant really trace. we can choose to do that but it will not be so effective. We have asked exchange to help , and there said nothing more they can do.
