For me there are two reasons why bitcoin and other cryptos exist and thrive. 1. the ease of internet access and 2. people believing and participating.
If one of those reasons disappear then it certainly is a fast painful death for cryptos. Internet is here to stay forever not unless a catasthropic event like an asteroid hitting earth would happen and would end humanity. Now, as for my 2nd reason, 1 major FUD or banks, governements or powerful people coming up with something that would render the existence of cyptos inefficient or useless is certainly a possibility. I am pretty sure someone or a group of people somewhere on earth is devicing a plan to stop cyptos. So be careful especially those who are investing just for the sake of profit. i think bitcoin will never end, becausse of the demand of it. And it's use for everday transactions and cash outs.. The possibility that bitcoin instiction , if the miners will stop mining bitcoin it will cause crisis to bitcoin community , the transaction could have problem if ever ,miners end bitcoin mining. A lot of unconfirm transcation will occur. But we know that it will never happen ..  For replacing bitcoin as mainstream currency ,Yeah, its possible but it takes time to beat bitcoin they will take a long road to achieve bitcoins reputation and be on top ..

in my own opinion there's no such thing as late if the system is still on going it'll be if you want to invest but the system is alright shut down or close. and bitcoin wouldn't end until there are people who believes in it and still trusting bitcoin on the state of bitcoin right now it is very popular cause of the high value of it people who believes in it is increasing.
