Why People Are Not Honest.

I think they didn't say the truth because they think these things are true . They do not want to tell the truth because that can make someone hurt .
Perhaps not tell the truth is the best way  .

There are many reasons why people aren't honest. One is that people are inherently greedy and/or wish for their personal best. Another reason is the truth hurts. That's why people often tell "white lies." An example of this is "Honey, that blouse looks good on you." "No, you don't look fat in that." etc.

Can I ask why people are not honest. As in, why is it that people don't keep to their words even when they can do so? Can't I just do business with someone without signing papers and get lawyers and witnesses and still keep to my words? Can't we get trustworthy people anymore?

Many times in life it pays to be dishonest, this can be for monetary gain or simply for having to avoid difficult situations that may arise by telling the truth. In actuality there are some situations in life whereby it is actually beneficial for everyone to lie .

The question is, why do we lie? Lying means we hide a part of ourselves from others because we are ashamed or we want to take advantage of someone's trust. Sometimes lying becomes a defense mechanism. Telling the truth however opens someone up for being vulnerable. Now why are people not honest in business? Well, that is to take advantage and maybe because it worked for them before to further their business

People are not honest cause it is in their nature not to be honest. Today every man greeds and looks at his own profit cause everyone else does it. Noone is perfect and every single of us has told some lie sometimes. Our false idols are politicians who are the example of how to be an honest man. How can you then be filled with honesty if people above you are giving you bad examples?

Many people are so cheap, and low value, honest is an expensive thing, don't expect honest from cheap people. The   problem is, we trust and believe peoples quickly, many people we trust and believe are most times a dishonest people, because of their low value in nature.Secondly  People are not honest because no more fear of God, they sold their conscience.

We have different reasons why we hide the truth even its wrong in the beginning. It could be intentional, positive and negative reasons. First, in intentional and positive way because we don't want to hurt other peoples feeling. We hide the truth for them so that they will not be mad and lonely. Second is the negative reason, we become selfish and we command their life so that they will not leave us. We prioritized our own happiness even we destroy other lives. We must put in our mind that honestly is the best policy. Honesty also set you free and happy. The truth will remain the truth and the right thing to do.

Some times People are not honest because they are controlled by the sociaty which means the things which are surrounding. as well as people have various kind of essentials and they dont have enough facilities for achiving those. at that time people tend to be a lier. That's why we cant say That people are honest.

I think the majority of people are good natured and honest. Their are exceptions and you can normally get a feel for if someone is trustworthy or not. Everyone has their own moral standards too and I'm sure we all could think back to a time when we "had" to be dishonest over something. Lead by example and stay honest, you don't have to remember so much that way

It would be so nice to live in a world where you can trust everyone, maybe in a thousand year human being will evolve to something better than it is now.

I live my life with a very basic principal, "I act with others the same way I want others to act with me".

The world would be a better place if everyone would follow that simple rule.

Well people are not honest because they have personal interest and motive and in order to get it they need to be dishonest or anything whatever it required.

Some people were not honest because they have to cover up something with a lie so that they won't hurt either themselves or the one they love.  While some were not honest because they don't want others to know who they really was as they pretend to be someone they are not.

i`m not agree, that people are not honest. Maybe there is a situation, where person can`t behave trusfully. But generally, a lot of people are honest

People are not honest because of the incidence that surrounds them, for instance have seen some people who went to prison or being punished because of their honesty and when others see this they change because in this world we are people love lies than the truth
