I don't think it's a scam. You have to understand that. The coin dropped and didn't raise money or ICO. Why is it a hoax? Maybe developers, they're a little selfish. They don't want to send out so many coins. They want to make money, too. SO. There is a tolerant attitude towards such airdrop.

It is an airdrop so how can it be a scam? There is no way to guarantee the price of a coin won’t drop. In any case, altcoins are in red, perhaps you want to wait to see whether the price increase.
thats my thinking airdrops are worth something only when there is a liquidity / buyer I see they are listed on etherdelta, this could possible get somewhere, just time will say!

we cannot say it's scam because they don't ask anything from people!
it's a free airdrop so it's free money and you will loose nothing!

I think we need to wait, they are planning for other social media platforms to be added in POW airdrops and as we all know almost all people are using the Social Media every hour of the day, so this POW really makes sense and has potential.

Joined the POW token airdrop the other day, got around 300k POW Tokens and it claimed it was worth $850. Then a moment later when I checked again it dropped down to $140. Does anyone know if it is legit?
Meh what to say, dont know why price is changing all the time whilst they are not even tradeable yet. Also the ones that we could get on their site is POW Lite with which you can trade with your friends on FB, and in future you MIGHT be able to swap it for "real" POW tokens that will be tradeable. For now, I'm just holding them, cause tbh you can't do anything with it. Only time will tell if they will become tradeable like they said.

I don't know if this is a scam coin or not but what I do know is that prices for tokens, coins even Bitcoin fluctuate. So the fact that the price has dropped is not enough evidence that a token is a scam. I say do your due diligence.
There is no need to label POW as scam till December 1st 2017 when it is due for payout. The drop in the value of your POW balance can be explained in that as more people joined and take their own share then the value will definitely drop. What you have now may not be your final share it may still be lower. so bear that in mind.

its hard to tell if POW is a scam or not. First they let us get POW Lite token thru Facebook and retweeting in Twitter. Let's just wait what will happen next until December.

since you get it free why should worry about scam or not ? is the coin held ICO too ? if only airdrop and even no market or price get dropped, because you get it free just hold it, you not lose anything

It is not hard at all to tell if POW is a scam or not - did you pay to get it? No. This means it is not a scam.

guys do not you think something wrong happened with your facebook ? what i mean is my facebook changed its email, and i used that facebook to claim the token. so anybody here have an issue like me ? i do not think i ever used my facebook out there and only use it to claim the POW. it's not scam but more likely they're trying to collect our facebook.

POW ERC20 is an Ethereum Blockchain asset or "token" Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency on the planet.Ethereum is slightly different to Bitcoin in that it is designed to allow 3rd parties (such as POW) to create 'Tokens' which piggyback on the Ethereum Blockchain.

We still do not know the truth until December. Because I found this on the PowToken website: "CAN I SELL POW 'LITE' FOR CASH? Not yet. But our plan is to build a 'bridge' between POW 'lite' and POW ERC20 by December 2017. This bridge will allow you to transfer your POW 'lite' to the Ethereum Blockchain where it will becom POW ERC20. You will then be free to sell your POW ERC20 for cash. So, in the long term, the answer to your question is yes." So I guess there is hope.

As I understand it powtoken is onsale on etherdelta already, eventually there will be a signup for reddit, twitter, and bitcointalk users, and also a bridge between the coins on the social media sites and an exchange so you can sell your tokens. All in the future.

Well pow token links through Facebook and currently they are paying for referrals. Circling back to your question as to whether this is a scam, we can only tell this in December or whenever they open up for trading. I have around 750k pow tokens which I hope is of some use but as of now I don’t think it’s a scam. Wait and watch brother! We are all in this together!
