As Bitcoin keep climbing and altcoin keeps going down, is it better to invest in bitcoin or altcoin now?
Well, for I will invest in both of them because bitcoin potential of climbing up to $7,000 or more and altcoins are still having a lot of chance to increase in their values. So it will advisable to invest in both of them op. |

It is good and rational for one to invest in Bitcoin and altcoins at the same time to reduce the risk of losing your capital, although both of them has a huge profit potential in the future, but to avoid uncertainty in one lost of his or her capital it is advisable to diversify our investment. |

I think you just found your answer. Either bitcoin or altcoin both had a different price range which is basically making bitcoin as the top cryptocurrency because basically it is the original bitcoin. But mostly for us traders here are investing on altcoins because it has a very low price. If this coins will have a potential it will going to boom up in the sky and that's where you will gonna get a very good profit but it is too risky sometimes because you'll never know if it has a potential or not because most of these altcoins are dumping forever and didn't make it on the top. |

It depends on you investment plan and the level of risk you are ready to take. Altcoins are at the accumulated stage in trading circle why bitcoin is currently at the distribution stage. I think professional traders buy into an assets at the accumulation stage for long terms big profits purpose why most times they buy into an assets at the distribution stage to take advantage of short term's price's fluctuations which is exactly what is happening now. If I should invest now I will buy many of the coins that are very cheap now. |

in my own opinion if you have enough funds that supply you until a month or two. better to invest in altcoins because the price is down but be careful better check first the coins if they have future. all investors had focus on bitcoin now because of the upcoming fork this is the time to buy some good altcoins and have good profit in the upcoming months.

Both have good prospects. but if talking the current situation then I recommend bitcoin as an investment that we must do. the rising bitcoin price makes us able to profit fairly easily. we can do a short trading to get a few dollars. while the altcoin state that continues to decline at this time does not affect anything because most altcoin based on the USD so that when the price of bitcoin increases must altcoin price also affected the impact. so you have to choose between bitcoin and altcoin, there is no best choice because it all depends on the condition at this time. |

I think patience is key here. The bulk of the money is gradually leaving altcoins and moving towards Bitcoin. A goodood call would be, to invest a certain percentage that you are okay with on promising altcoins and invest the remaining larger percentage on Bitcoin as Bitcoin is sure to increase in value even in the face of corrections.

most people who have bitcoin sell their bitcoin with altcoin, a victory if and can be successful only with altcoin. are you a believer if there will be a day when altcoin becomes a very important coin? I really believe I myself sell all my bitcoin with ripple I get a lot of profit, but we have to be patient because the nature of some altcoin is long term. |

To make quick profit right now, invest on alt coins. But for long term profit go after bitcoin. Investors are right now causing a pump by investing on bitcoin for the up coming fork with the hope the the spin off coins that is bitcoin gold will have some value. |

Invest on both man! Both has the same advantage right now if you are planning to buy. Within every dips bitcoin and altcoins is offering you, you must take advantage of it as soon as possible. That is the S.O.P of every traders specially on top 10 coins, so as a normal bitcoin and altcoin traders we must adopt that behavior. Stop waiting for others advisory because you might end up missing the chance of buying at a lower price. Also right now due to the rising demand because of the incoming fork to get free bitcoin gold, buying bitcoin is recommended too until the end of hard fork. |

Better to invest in both because they will be more valuable in the future than now. In bitcoin, many still believe that it would increase more so better invest for the long term. Many do expect that after its rally, it would go back down but will rest on its previous support and then go up again. As the airdrop of bitcoin gold is approaching, many people would want a piece of it so they are buying more bitcoin which would have a negative effect in most altcoins because many would sell their alts and shift to bitcoin so it is shopping time for altcoin. Those altcoin that has a viable project and has true value would increase again and money in bitcoin after the distribution of bitcoin gold would go back again to alts and those that have true value would shoot up again so for those who have still funds to invest would want to grab some altcoins for the long term because they would be more valuable in the future. Maybe you cannot have a chance to buy it this cheap again in the future. |

I prefer investing in bitcoin because it promises, as we know bitcoin prices are increasing as time passes, but it is profitable or not it depends on our strategy in investment, investing in altcoin is also profitable if you have a good plan and strategy.

Share your holdings between Btc and Alts. Keep some btc and buy some alts. Look out for QRL, ETC, Sys, Qtum, and Strat seems to have falling too much.

Bitcoin price is currently above 5.5k USD and I would not recommend buying more at this price. Rather if you are holding bitcoin continue to do so. The market has been red today and its a good time to buy altcoins like ethereum and litecoin and maybe dash if it dips again. Altcoins that pop up everyday are never recommended before you have done your own research. There are so many shitcoins making false promises and wasting people's money - good example is the current bandwagon of these e-prefix coins. They are all pump and dump schemes. |
