Let us list the the old projects with proven tested dev/dev teams that are steadily working through their road maps.

2yrs old ideally but over 1 yr at the very least. Those dev teams that have stuck around and that are still progressing.

Do not list abandoned crap that is just existing and no recent development at all that is worth a mention.

Also 100% no closed ended insta icos or scams to be listed.

Put a reason why you think they are proven devs and still going strong too. Be good to have a list of the quality durable projects now it is almost impossible to weed through 1000s or scam icos and efart airdrops.

Projects that have proven crypto capable developers only that have coded at least some additional features with real use cases.

Most of these new insta icos shits are failed start ups that thought they would scam some fund raising through the new blockchain craze and have no coders/designers with any proven talent or skill in this arena at all. It is merely a business idea that probably failed to entice investment elsewhere.

Don't spam with junk that does not fit the criteria stipulated above. I only want to compile a list of the real projects here with real developers and hear the reasons why these should be listed here with the cream of the crop.

LIST SO FAR

Do you own research once you find a project that interests you and make your own decisions on how proven and durable the devs and project seems from inception to present. Must be going for at least 1 year and still progressing strongly ahead with their plans that have a real use case.

These are the ones I am familiar with that is not to say they are better or going stronger than any others on this op only that I have looked into them myself at this point.

Just because these are proven long term durable projects with active proven developers does not mean they are a good place to invest for sure.. you must look at long term charts and then research and decide for yourself.

LTC - Litecoin - needs no introduction
ETH - Ethereum - needs no introduction
XMR - Monero - still going strong
DCR - Decred - still going strong
BAY - Bitbay - still going strong
CLOAK - Cloak - still going strong
SYS - Syscoin - still going strong
WAVES - Waves - going strong still after over 1 yr.
ICN - iconomi - I've not researched that too much though
AEON - Aeon - still going
ARK - ARK - still going strong
PIVX - PIVx - still going strong
BYTE - Byteball - still going strong
BLOCK - Blocknet - still going strong
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ones below I have not looked into at all that much these are here at the suggestion of others on this thread. If you have a valid reason why they should not be there then let me know. I am familiar with these to a degree but have not followed closely. They have been around quite a while but I can not say how strong or useful the development has been or the use cases for them read this thread perhaps the person gave a greater explanation or better find the official thread.. They could all be going very strongly though so look in to them and decide yourselves.

GAME  - Game credits - I've not researched thoroughly so do your own research
VRT - Vertcoin - Old project not researched into it lately
NXT - Next -need to look into that one I think development team are migrating to a new project maybe ..IGNIS,.?
REP - Augur - Not researched it myself.
ABY - Artbyte - I've not researched thoroughly so do your own research
NAV - Navcoin - still going strong but I have not looked into it that much check it out yourselves.

Other projects perhaps a little different

Nastyfans - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86854.0  not heard of this before so may be of interest if you read through the thread. Suggested by a legend member.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These ones are still alive for over a year but I have not heard of them and have no idea if they are strong projects or devs. They could going strong or may be they are not going anywhere. You must research for yourselves like with any project.  These  still have an active thread I can not say if they have an active developer that is producing new and interesting works with real use cases.

I realise now that when I started this thread i had underestimated the work it would be to read all suggestions on this thread and research and review if they have proven active developers that are actively creating and developing useful features with real world use cases. I can only say these have been around for over 1 year and their thread is still active. You must take time to research and see if these have any value.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Iconomi (ICN): ICO was last September, so barely more than a year old, but it qualifies under your criteria.

ICO: ran a full month, didn't hit the (reasonable) cap.
Dev team: expanded to >30 people, going strong.
Product: Live, working, continuing to build and expand functionality
Communication: Monthly updates & AMA, Quarterly reports.

Plus they've already spun off their investment research arm to form Cofound.it which itself has mentored and launched a number of highly reputable, strong projects.

Yes, that was quite innovative and is still progressing I will start the list with that one. It did a lot of advertising and seemed to be fairly ran for an ico

Keep them coming. Lets start sorting the proven and tested from the dreams and talk projects on here in an easy to read list without having to spend years of time on sifting through the ann section.

Okay since 90% are new here and have no knowledge about the real projects and only have new unproven dreams and talk ico toilet white paper for currency I will start assisting.

Each day I will add one to the list for you to research for your self.

Today

LTC - Litecoin.

Anyone can help list proven durable projects/crypto devs so we can maintain it here.

1. Monero - it was introduced in 2015, and now one of the top privacy focused project. Unfortunately I missed this train, I remembered when moneto just hit $1 and did not buy in. And now growth has been exponentiall.
2. Decred - its over year project, it is being maintained well. And currently have collaborations with litecoin for atomic swaps.
3. Nxt - not sure on why this project didnt took off. It's one of the oldest projects out there and one of the pioneers of PoS. They're still around and devs are working on new project called ardor based on nxt tech.

Yes those are certainly the type for this list. Although nxt is one to research more its future is migrating to other projects is it not? the dev team are starting ignis or ardor? I've not looked at this one for quite a while.

No projects younger than 1 yr. I am looking for proven cryto developers that have demonstrated their staying power and abilities already. Potential is not the same thing. That is guessing and estimation. I want only project with a PROVEN track record for staying and getting things done.

Steller is the only one there that I think could be a valid member for the list but I have not really looked into them lately. Have they made a lot of additional developments since branching off xrp?

Yep, they're working at their Ardor project, Ignis is the first child-chain of Ardor, essentially like nxt but running as child-chain. Kind of like parent-child chains architecture. I'm not too psyche about it.

I'm kind of excited about this new project called ADA (cardano) in regards with the development, the project is set to launch their multi-computation layer which houses the smart contract capabilities under K framework, which means in theory the coders can write smart contracts in any language they want. This will significantly decrease the entry barrier of smart contract development.

This is true. For now though we only want a list of proven long term durable projects. So ada cant go on this list.

Today I add another long term project still going and working forward.

Cloak.

NastyFans has been around since 2012 and has distributed more than 700 BTC in that time.  Most members originated from the NastyMining ICO originally listed on the now defunct exchange GLBSE.  When launched, NastyMining had the stated goal of providing 1MH/s of hashrate per seat and recently announced it had surpassed that goal by 1000x while converting to solar/wind energy as well as expanding to offering goods and services.
