I don't think may coins are dying but it's correction time and while in correction coins are dropping to stabilize the value and price.

 do not panic it will rise again on a couple of days. The reason is the cancelation of the the bitcoin fork in this month. All coins that turns red , will eventually turns to green , but not all , because most of the coins in the market that are red are shit xoins.

The only way the altcoins will die is if they lose their market value. As such what is happening right now is just a big dip in market prices and you panicking to it as you do not know what to do which is natural because you haven't experienced such scenario before.
