All I know is if I were an early adopter and had tens of thousands of coins and a bunch of cash I'd be crashing a few markets right now to buy back up on the cheap.

Hell, it only takes 1000 BTC to drop Tradehill a few bucks.  I'd be trolling hard.

Seems price and volume are now moving. My buy order @ $6 might fill soon, just kidding...

Pretty sure about everyone in the world has thought of that.  The problem is it wouldn't work.  Best case scenario is the downward pressure would be reversed when you buy the coins back, and you'll end up right back where you started minus transaction fees.  Even more likely though is you will sell a lot of coins cheap, making it attractive for new buyers to come in and so when you go to buy all the coins back it will have to be for a higher price than you originally sold for.

Holy fucking amateur hour, are they seriously testing trading on other people's money?  If not on MtGox directly, they have to know they are fucking the entire market.

Everytime I login to MtGox to check to see if trading has started, the "last price" is lower, and it keeps going lower every time. It started in the 17's, then 15's, and now 14's. Are people able to put in orders?  I can't stand seeing it drop like this. I really really want to put in a sell order ASAP. Thanks for any info.

Another mySQL error. They are probably just getting hammered right now. Probably because everyone is spamming F5 to see ticker updates. They should have gotten market data working first.

Well, I think it is about time to hire some Yakuza and get it done with it!

It seems they are letting a controlled about of trades through at a time, then pausing and going over them to insure that everything is working right.

I think their prudence is a good idea. I don't think I could handle another screw up.
