It seems they are letting a controlled about of trades through at a time, then pausing and going over them to insure that everything is working right.
I think their prudence is a good idea. I don't think I could handle another screw up.
But that artificially changes the market prices. I can see it sounding an alarm if they see multiple 1000BTC trades coming thus causing a manual review but to halt trading for a general review does not let market conditions control the price.

Having the whole system down "artificially changes the price". They are getting things back up, I'm not going to complain that it isn't "perfect" for the first 5 or 6 hours. If you don't like it, come back tomorrow, it'll probably be running just fine by then.

There we go, dropping like expected now. I'm saying $11.50-12 is where is slows down and likely holds out till tomorrow.

what is this nonsense about a queue. Thats dysfunctional as hell, let the market handle the order by the highest bid and the lowest ask. Really I think Gox has Goxed itself. True, but the first trades actually define the market. I am not sure they are actually queuing, or simply freezing the clock between the order book and the order matcher.

Yes, and when there's more than one sell or buy order for the same price, which executes first? The first one to be placed. Hence the need for some sort of queue. "Queue" may also describe how a placed order is put in play. Really I think Gox has Goxed itself. This one is harder to argue against.

I think all of your executed trades will be rolled back. Trading is not officially open and it's obvious they are beta testing their new code. Damn shame they are doing it on their production servers.
I just wish they'd POST A FIGGIN' UPDATE as to when things WILL OFFICIALLY OPEN so I don't miss the boat and I'm not here all friggen day pressing F-f*cking-5!!!!

Everytime I place a sell order below highest bid it doesn't complete, only to refresh and find that the highest bid is even lower. WTF!?! MtGox is screwing us with the order book, depth and trades data.

I'm guessing it'll drop to around 10.50 to rise back up to 12 by this evening.
