You sound like you're trying to convince yourself everything is okay.  MtGox is not Bitcoin and I think in the long run BTC is better off with a legit exchange rather than going through that Mickey Mouse operation.

Interestingly, I placed an order to sell at 19.60'something, and instead of showing my 20 btc, it shows .5   on the depth chart details.

Shouldn't all open orders show up in the market depth?  I have orders for far less than $12.00 and they aren't in the list.

It's only been open for a couple hours.  Give it some time people.  Not everyone is sitting idly by their computers at all times.  Especially when MTGox isn't real reliable for their times.

Even with queued orders mtgox managed to push a volume of a little more than 5,000 just 2 hours after trading was haphazardly opened.

Tradehill has a 24 hour volume of 4,924.87 Mtgox a current volume of 5552.3704

Will mtgox sustain itself as the ring leader or will Tradehill triumph over security flaws and crush their biggest opponent? Tune in next week to find out!

naw, volume is still low. It's what not even 5AM in most of SE Asia yet? Sunday startup has many people out and about. Still looking at $12 IMHO.

Trading working, up to 1 minute delay before order execution.

Maybe it only shows the closest 280 orders from the middle of the ask/bid price?

EDIT NVM, I know what happened.

Buying   7.94571765   8.5    67.54   06/26 11:46   cancel
Buying   4.05428235   8.5     34.46   06/26 11:46   cancel

Those were 8 and 4 when I put them in... this is my order book now. WTH?

I think it's basically fully functional now.  It took ~ 30 seconds for an order to queue and go to active and another ~30 to be executed. ( or to be refreshed)
