According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Research Waves.
Huge potential.
It has a EURO gateway, which no platform I know about has.
It has a built in DEX.
It has custom tokens with there own possible tx fees.

A lesson which can be hard to learn for newbies, is not to get too excited at the start. As you can see in the posts above me, people are recommending to throw money at all kind of coins. They most likely do that because they have those coins by themselves, and want the price to go up, so they can dump on you.

The smartest (however the most boring) thing to do is to buy only bitcoins with your money, and keep them sitting. It is for sure not exciting, but will be the most stable profit you'll get of any coins out there.

Also, if you really want to invest in something, don't follow someone on the internet blind, but do good research by yourself before you buy anything.

1. Buy bitcoin. 100% bitcoin and nothing else.

2. Don't trust anyone telling you to buy something else. If you want to invest in alts you have to do your own research.

You will miss some great oppurtunities when not investing in alts. Projects that will outperform bitcoin short term. But the chance that you buy into some scam is much greater.

For me personally, investin into bitcoin is wise option as we can see bitcoin show promising value over 7 years and this year , bitcoin reach $ 5500 which is insane value and nobody can't expected that happen but that's the fact

Investing into ICO may more profitable but the risk are greater than bitcoin

Buy bitcoin and sell it just before the bitcoingold fork, people are getting crazy about the fork and price is rising on an unexpected way. Sell half of that just before the fork and invest it on altcoins.

I think that you should diversify your portfolio and invest a portion of your savings in Bitcoin and another in altcoin. You should invest around 50 percent in Bitcoins as it is the world most popular crypto and will provide stability to your portfolio. You should buy various popular altcoin with the other half. You should invest in ethereum, monero, civic, siacoin and litecoin. All of these will increase the rate of growth of your investment and will help you earn more profits in the long run.

The best thing you could do is to properly research on crypto currencies in general. Making up your own mind is a big thing here in the crypto world because a lot of people would like to push their altcoin on you. There's a lot of fake/biased news out there so it's even more important to be very critical.  Because there are many scams out there I would take extra precautions and invest only in coins/projects that you would use yourself.

Wait for a Bitcoin dip.  Buy Bitcoin.  Hate to say it having just put chunks into ALTS, but, yeah.  Do that.

If you must buy ALTS, read until your eyes bleed, set a maximum profit price in which you'll sell (100%, 300%, etc), buy, and hold until that amount, or total bust.

With such money is only one way. The best option will be buy bitcoins for all and hold this coin. It will be the best profit for you but it is long term

13k in Bitcoin when it dips after the fork/s.
1k in 5 long term coins (I'd buy them now, or soon, as the prices are down for most of them)
1k in 5 well researched ICO's.

For me, bitcoin and eth are the safest options. But when I got in the game I was very excited and I couldn't just watch grass grow. So I started playing with altcoins everyday. Day trading if you will. Learned a lot about it. Highly dangerous though. Lost a little when the crash caused by the chinese happened. So trading analysis isn't everything like some people claim, not when it comes to crypto. I'm into mining also, looking to build a decent farm with my friends. Maybe look into hosting miners for other people. Do what suits you best, each venture in crypto land has its potential risks and rewards.

In my opinion you should spread a risk with invest of more than 1 coin.
%70 Btc and %30 Altcoin will be good ratio.
You should investigate more carefully before you make an investment to Altcoins.

I think it is always better to buy some bitcoin with your first investment money. You can start learning from there following alts. And there are some nice alt investments like Ark, bat, ethereum so on. You should personally choose.

You can make long-term investments with Bitcoin, ETH, Monero, NEO, etc ... but to be sure you should invest in Bitcoin or or projects ICO has good platform. The profit margin will be very high when you invest in large scale ICO projects. If you are a newcomer to the market, the first thing you need to do is find out the previous project, and consult with the community.
