Some updates:

  • gox lag displayed in minutes when it's over 60s
  • hardcore mode is back http://bitcoinity.org/markets/hardcore - not really useful but it looks fun
  • added option in preferences to set mtgox lag to be permamently on or completely off
  • min and max values are shown on the price chart as red/green shadows
  • better tooltips for depth chart that also display USD value
  • CampBX added
  • total volume of exchanges comparison http://bitcoinity.org/markets/list
  • AUD currency added for mtgox

I would add bitcoin-central but I can't even find where do they provide list of last trades.

I collect gox lags and may add some simple chart displaying it (like http://bitcoinity.org/charts/gold ) when I find some time.

Regarding mtgox API url, I was using http://data.mtgox.com/code/data/getTrades.php because back when I tested it was most up to date. It seems that now https://data.mtgox.com/api/1/BTCUSD/trades is updated much more often.

And again, thanks for paying for my whiskey and all the feedback.

My eyes are getting a bit better so I'm going back to my day job, so probably there won't be too many updates anytime soon.

Also, we hit 14k+ connected users, server is definitely not bored Smiley

Variance is a bitch!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Awesome, displaying the lag of Mtgox is really useful... unfortunately.

...

How about a single small line overlayed on one of the charts with color to indicate lag.

Someone said they hate colors a while back.  Could have been you; I don't remember.  Anyway, it does seem to me that it could provide some useful information ins a non-real-estate-consuming manner.  To me it seems that way, but I'm not a designer.

A very minor tidbit: I find the wording "## BTC must be bought ... for price to go up to ..." a bit funny.
It implies (in my understanding, at least), that there would be someone who wants to raise the price and wants to know how much he must buy to achieve that goal.  (Maybe, at some time in the past that was even the very point of it :-) )

By changing "must" to "can", and "for price to go up to ..." to "for price not to exceed ..." I think the message would reflect the motivation better.

I noticed a little mistake: If you check market ask depth in USD if it's below 10k USD it says something like 100M, kind of weird Wink

Yeah, there seems to be some problems with the USD tooltips, prices jump erratically. Also it would be nice to be able to toggle the entire chart to display in USD instead of BTC.

Also is it just me or is the depth chart updating a lot less frequently than before?

Just wanted to say how amazing the charts are.. I keep it open 24 hours Wink

It is sad to notice that 2 out of the 5 exchanges listed as default are now closed (temporarily?)
First bitcoin-24 halted by polish banks, then we lost bitfloor blocked by american banks. Sad Sad

I know it is a minor thing, I wonder if there is a way to move those inactive exchanges out of the menu, I always click on it by accident and get confused Cheesy
Apart for that, keep the good work!! Thanks a lot!

Yes, it's not even true.  Some of the walls would probably disappear as the price nearer them, meaning less BTC needs to be bought for the price to go up to whatever.

I think I'd just say "X BTC available for sale at $Y or less".

Yeah, I'm really digging it. Additional info in a neat presentation.
