Only thing it brought it down hard was the MtGox hack, other than that only normal day for btc

MtGox pumped the price to insane levels back then, and it corrected the market back to where it started. In other words, the market was even again.

Overall, I am quite surprised that the market not only managed to reach such levels, but also maintain them for quite a long period of time (in crypto terms). It definitely hints towards more willingness from people to hodl longer.

Back in the days basically every higher level was barely maintainable ~ the market was very insecure, there was no real confidence when it comes to the majority of the people, China being a problem, and the list goes on.

It's safe to say that to a certain extent, the market and the people being part of it have definitely matured.

Bitcoin may be a little bit overpriced but I do not think by that much, many people say we are in a bubble but this is nothing like what happened in the past, the growth has been constant and this shows a slow but constant growing interest on bitcoin that is not going to disappear overnight.

Everything could happen but I don't think so, that's quite too low to happen compared to the current price. Also we're expecting the price to goes up on holiday season so $2k is nearly impossible to see before 2018. Maybe the opposite of what you've said will happen, between $6500 - $10k.

Nothing drastically of the kind is to happen with bitcoin. It is the extreme of speculation in bitcoin history. I think prediction must be based on demonstration and must near about to realistic approach because nothing of the kind has happened in bitcoin history. It is right that bitcoin price will come down by the upcoming fork of bitcoin gold but not upto $2000 ever. I predict that the value will not come down from $5000 and bitcoin will also recover this difference soon.

Of course it could fall to $2000 but I'm hoping it will hold at least at $5000 level before the fork and will reach $6000-$7000 after the fork and before 2018. I'm optimistic about all crypro-currencies, except s*its like BTG.

I´d say if we have some news like the chine ban that scares the new money that came in this year, yes. We can even see BTC below 3K. If no such news arrive it will dip after the november fork, but probably not 2k.  but lets see how it plays out.

Those comments came from community are just expected which is "NO". We might possibly get back to those ranges knowing that price could crash anytime but this thing would really depend if the community would decide to dump big part of their bitcoin holdings which would definitely affect the price of bitcoin but seeing on support of it.Then this thing will not surely happen since there is already a good strong support on the price.

I just saw that november 16 is another fork from  news posted from forbes blog..
And i think if there are holders of bitcoin right now already claim there bitcoin gold they will not sell their bitcoin and wait for another fork before they sell their bitcoin.. but we seen other hodlers are sold their bitcoin that is why the price of bitcoin was drop a bit..

But if that happen for sure it will increase again because we buy more bitcoin and bitcoin will recover again . Yes, I'm waiting for that, so many people including myself are waiting for that moment to buy bitcoin at the cheaper price.
There's always possibility for the price to skyrocket or even nothing, but one thing is sure when the price is going down there will be people buying at the lowest price, we have already passed this when the price was 1000 dollars crashed down into the 200 dollars.

But anything is possible but for me, I don’t think so that bitcoin price will fall down to $2000 before 2018, if it will then it is the perferct time to buy btc again. No way! It won't lead that far. There are backdrops on its market value just because the day of segwit2x is getting closer and with that, it will surely increase after the fork. Maybr it will only fall down to 5000$ and nothing less. 2000$ is way far from its current value and it won't fall that much in just a short period of time, specifically 2 months.

A fall to $2000 will very much disrupt the market as we know it. By the looks of things its unlikely to fall that much. Recently, we just broke past $6000 which is a good sign and a $5500 correction seems fine.

It's difficult to happen logically but yes everything can happen since bitcoin is unlike other currency or investation , right ?
For me personally, I have faith on bitcoin so I think it won't reach $ 2000 ( Even if it's happen, my friend really want to invest bitcoin although he was pessimistic before )

It is obviously logically impossible. There is so much going on for bitcoin including the support that would make it so hard for us to experience a huge dump like that which would take it to as low as $2000. Even the china FUD when it was around $4500 did not even bring it that low, let alone the level we are now. Impossible!

First, I want to you ask you, "How many months make Bitcoin increase to $3,000 to $6,000". After the FUD created by the Chinese government, I remember Bitcoin just needs one month to did that. So, why dose Bitcoin not drop down $2,000 within 2 months? Everything is possible.

Even after segwet2 the price of bitcoin sustain its position, then how can we expect that the price of bitcoin will lose 2000$. I think investor are even confident that very soon bitcoin will reach to 8000$ and so the price is expect to gain 2000$ instead of losing it. In fact bitcoin has still too much potential to increase its price and in fact the increasing demand of bitcoin is also increasing the price of bitcoin too much.
