By having a weekday 9-5 job, i must say my eyes aren't that keen anymore for trends and hardly made any good decision on buying/selling alts. Basically what i did is:

Weekdays: Coinalarm app to observe my portfolio real time but it's far less efficient and responsive to market movement, Slack and Telegram app are linked as well but still is very difficult to process insightful information while in working mood.

Weekends: More active than usual but time is limited  Undecided

Any opinions or suggestion to improve my current situation?

Thanks in advance and sorry for bad english  Sad

If you are a trader it is very important to get fast and accurate information to monitor your coin movements.
I use the blockfolio app, very good to use and complete with interesting information.
The application I use trader is Z trader.

If you want to manage your portfolio even you have a full time job then go for long term because if you will go for long term investment within your portfolio then you don't need to worry for monitoring it daily because you can do it weekly or even monthly. A portfolio doesn't is for long term in my opinion and investing for long term is the best for you if you have a full time job so you will have a back up source of income.

I use block folio app as well. With the app, what need to do is just add your coins and from time to time you check the progress of your coins.

Again, what I usually think or suggest for a trader both cryptos or forex trader who is very busy is to take up a lesser job or give up the job entirely and focus on trade etc. You can make good money from it (except the person is a professional like medical doctor etc that wants to keep practicing, then you work out your schedule ).

You are really in the right position to determine which one is best for you because we are not in the same shoes. I also full time from 8am -5pm but it might not be as tedious as yours. What I do basically is not to keep large amount of coins because there is no enough time to monitor them and at the same time, I always trade on only one or two exchange sites this enable me to have my attention streamline to a place.

I then set my order to my preferred point irrespective whether I might lose or not then check in several times in a day to know if my objective is gradually being met or not, I then reevaluate my position as to whether to cancel or renew it.

if you are a worker use your work time to work and use your smartphone as a reminder of when to see the market. most people get bored because of their work but by using the existing app on the smartphone it will be of little help. use time wisely. investing a little from your work will make you more excited.

If I want to manage my portfolio efficiently while having a full time job simply I go with systemic investment plan where I no need to worry about ups and down of-course it would be long term only.

To be honestly saying it is very difficult to manage portfolio while we are having fulltime job.

In my opinion, if you can't earn your weekly salary out of active crypto trading you should go to passive trade or long term hold, you'll earn more.

Just stop doing short-term trades. Instead focus on identifying a few promising projects that are realistic (e.g. won't be hard to develop and get off the ground) and have large longterm potential. Then stick with those and wait. That way you can just enjoy your free time without having to worry about trends (which most people fail to trade efficiently anyways).

Yeah I agree with you. He should stop short term trading, because short term trading needs much more time than trading/investing long term promising projects.
I had been short term trading in stocks a few years back. However I stop it because of my 7-4 job. Today I go with long term and I am happy.

Hey wayne,

You'd be surprised at how many actual traders out there also have a full-time job! In the mid-2000s when I was into forex trading, it was actually only a part-time time-reliant, full-time effort... basically I spent most of my free time outside of my income-earning career to learn. I think regardless of how you trade and how much time you have for it, 90% of it has to be invested into learning and studying.

In terms of having a 9-5 like you do, the weekends and evenings should be put into reading, completing courses, perhaps even just reading analysis and insight from other traders, discussions on forums like this.

In fact, only having limited hours on your trading platform means you are perfectly suited for patient, long-term thinking required for disciplined trading. No day trades, no need to respond or react quickly to breaking news. Enter the market at carefully decided points, set your profit target as well as stop losses, and let the trades take care of themselves.

Typically the ones who maintain a small portfolio being normal 9-5 employees end up understanding the true profit that can be derived from altcoin day trading and eventually quit their jobs for it.
If you're keen on managing your portfolio, just dedicate a few hours of time for it daily. Might be difficult at first but things will get imbued into your timetable kind of a thing and you'll end up dedicating time for it on a daily basis.

I must say that if you are having some permanent job and that too full time job, then it will require a lot of efforts and determination if you want to manage both the things well. It is no doubt not an easy task to do and it is not possible for everyone to do such kind of things. You can manage your portfolio in a well manner by allocating proper time to bitcoin after the office hours.

Obviously that it is a difficult task for anyone, but i am still a student and i am more than 8 hours a day studing, but i still have enough time to take care of my bussiness and all that concerns about cryptocurrencies.
But looking and checking the charts everyday and every hour is a little bit exhausting, but i dont care because i am making a huge profit from it.
I try to use the last hours of everyday to make those kind of tasks.

It think its not really an issue at all.I would like to ask if you do have the access on your phone while you are still on work? If yes then that would be great. You can monitor anytime on the price and once you do saw opportunity you can just simply make some trades since it wont really cost too much time which would affect your day stable job.Its just really a matter of time management.

Yes I have one main suggestion for you and for those with limited time and that is limit your projects. It sounds simple but to not be overwhelmed in this industry we must do exactly this. If I were you I wouldnt get into more

than 5-10 projects at at time because the information would be too much. Even for me as a full time job I dont like to get into much more than that anyways, I can only imagine it hard it is doing this part time

The best way to manage your portfolio while having a full time job is to just buy bitcoins and hold them for as long as you can and that will surely make you happier with your gains than any other one you've ever had before.

i dont have much time during weekdays too, but it is easy if you have at least 5 minutes every two hours to check the market or all the charts in where you have some money invested.
It is not difficult if you are already acostumbrated to ussually do this, i am always checking the progress of bitcoin and how much does my portfolio worth, and always this forum too, and i do have a real job.
it is easy mate, you only need to be patient.

Yeah, I don't know why people spend their life daytrading, when they can have almost infinite free time by longterm investing instead.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I had decided to adjust my portfolio for long terms investment, primarily in Blue chips and alts that had potential - established team, well-delivered/realistic roadmap, consistent development as well a more discipline investment schedule, guess the ups and downs of day trading is too much for me to handle while maintaining good performance with my programming job.

Would consider buying some bots to interact/trade with exchange api sometime after a more extensive speculation , the road is still long to success is still long but achievable, good luck everyone!
