Have you ever used one? What were the fees and the experience like, and would you use one again? Is there one nearby where you live?
I have used Bitcoin ATM once because of curiosity, the time of transaction was fast and it is very user friendly, you can also see some instructions on how to use it but I'm not planning to use it ever again because it charges big amount of percentage of Bitcoin you transacted. It also hard to locate Bitcoin ATMs here in my location and if you found one sometimes it's not functioning. I won't waste my time finding and using Bitcoin ATMs again since there are lots of options here to buy and sell Bitcoins with lower transaction charges.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

What if they were in decent locations like say Wal-mart's across the country? Or on college campuses? To reach out to the general public to make Bitcoin more mainstream, but with fair enough fees people weren't getting ripped off and it was worth the convenience of being able to buy or sell instantly without waiting for an exchange or using human interaction?
I agree most people don't need Bitcoin instantly and the exchange fees will always be cheaper but what about the people out there who aren't so tech savvy, say older demographics who may be more inclined to trust a machine than have to figure out using a website?

There is a bit of complexity around bitcoin buying, selling, trading and storing. At least from simplicity prospective, it will be useful. As claimed, you can keep equivalent of bitcoin, something like bearer instrument in the form of QR code printed on paper.
I guess this is true. It might be the simplest way for newbies to get their first bitcoins since they'll be skipping steps on exchanges and the like. This might be its most useful function.

I just wished that ATM that accepts bitcoin would be more since the one that I know is quite far from our home. However sonce bitcoin is just boosting, I’m laready glad that I was able to use ATM for it.

As most of members here - straight forward ATMs is good just for marketing, thats it. Something like crypto wallet with option to change to fiat could be interesting but that would be similar to app. Thus it seems ATMs is worthless in crypto sense.

I have not used one yet. In my town there isn't any, but there are some in larger cities. My friend have used it few times, and he said it was easy and fast. I believe him, I see no reason why it would be any different than classic ATM. I think that it is good to have some ATMs in case you need fiat currency. But hopefuly there will be more places which will accept Bitcoin as way of payment.

They can be a good way if you for "reasons" need to get cash anonymously. I've tried one in Finland, it worked fine, fees were like 8% (or so?). For me they have no use, if I need cash for some reason (very unlikely) I can load BTC to my prepaid card and use any ATM to get the cash. Much lower fees that way.

Bitcoin ATM would be interesting since an account would only say the amount of bitcoin a user has. An Bitcoin ATM should project the current price of bitcoin so that one would know if it is fair for him or not. It should would only depend if your country legalized bitcoin for it will use the current currency a country have since it will be much harder if it is on other countries currency that a Bitcoin ATM will give. I get pretty excited if one of those is actually available in the Philippines.

Many countries don't have a Bitcoin ATM but that might be a good business to get into if you have the capital or the connections to start building a bitcoin ATM network. People are still worried about the uncertainty if their countries are going to regulate or ban Bitcoin. For what I understand many countries are using localbitcoins to buy bitcoins with cash.

some of you have valid concerns on fees but purchasing at an ATM. Nowadays www.coinatmradar.com lists live rates for over 1000 ATMs worldwide. In the past operators primarily ran a Bitcoin ATM as a service to the community but nowadays it is more a business like installing vending machines or fiat ATMs and many operators have a large number of machines. If an ATM does not display its rates on coinATMradar, think twice before plunking down that cash. Some ATM industry stats on fees can be found here: https://coinatmradar.com/charts/#fees and https://coinatmradar.com/charts/#by-manufacturer

I am really envious of people who have one nearby. the nearest one is a 5-hour drive from where I live. There might just not be the demand for it where I live, but I think it would be profitable building a bitcoin ATM here still

Bitcoin ATM's are different from country to country so you can never tell. Using one is a matter of action. Do it and tells us your experience. Turning us into guinea pigs will just make it harder for you to obtain a reliable information.

There is still no bitcoin atm here in my country. But considering the services given by our wallet, it is okay if we do not have an atm but it would be more better if we have. It will raise awareness and curiosity if there would be a bitcoin atm for those who do not know bitcoin and not heard anything about it. I guess there is no need here in our country for that since we can directly pay services like bills through our wallet. We can convert our bitcoin into cash using different banks and remittances centers.

Precisely not only to get Bitcoin, but also make it easier for beginners who have Bitcoin and exchange their Bitcoin with an existing ATM machine, to make money in their own country, so people who do not understand to exchange their Bitcoin on online exchange sites, Simply Easy, come to the ATM machine, they can exchange it there.
