Is there anyone here that is making money full time in the cryptospace?  If so, can you help guide with below questions?

> What is the minimum investment a newbie needs?
> How do you select an investment?
> Do you HODL or day-trade?
> If you day-trade - how do you pick a coin that is day-trade worthy?

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

There's no minimum investment, invest what you can or afford. I started out with about $500. I raised that money for months. I didn't diversify, but of course I've done my due diligence with the project and then I bought. I experience being down 50% but HODLed for months. Cause I didn't want to sell at loss, and it exploded and the same time bitcoin is rising, so it's like a life changing gains. Then I started trading, day, swing and long and diversified a lil bit. I've managed to outweigh my losing trades from my winning trades, lived through the volatility throughout the year. What a great ride, way better than 9-5 job.

If as a beginner I focus on collecting coins first, because it does not have a coin if you want to invest or want to trade can buy coins first when prices fall and sell when prices rise so that it can profit.

> What is the minimum investment a newbie needs?

It depends on how many are you willing to lose.

> How do you select an investment?

Research, about who are behind the project, what projects they did in the past, how good is what they propose, ICO? support? is there something new on what they propose? etc etc etc in the end, everything related to the project and his owners.

> Do you HODL or day-trade?

It depends on the project and how things are going on.

> If you day-trade - how do you pick a coin that is day-trade worthy?

Checking the news about it and looking at graphics could give you an idea about what is going to happen, keep in mind that obviously there is nothing 100% sure.

IMHO #1.b of suspects, Hal Finney is/was S.N.

1. I suppose 500-1000$ will be enough for beginning.
2. Make deep fundamental and technical research.
3. I have both portfolio for HODL (30%) and day-trading (70%)
4. First of all I'm trying to find releases, exchanges listings and so on. After I use tech analysis to find the entry point.

P.S.
If you are newbie you should not try to be trader. Just use HODL strategy. And do not invest all of your BTC into alts Wink

I do live full time on cryptocurrencies. I spend 4-5 hours a day. Mostly doing day trading, let's say 70 percent of the portfolio. Rest is for long term which means but and hold.

Day trading is not really advised if you are a newbie, you will most likely lose money. You can maybe start with a small amount and improve with time.

Find good projects and hodl is a better way to earn money

I do trade but on a mid to long term basis. But I will try to help you out.

Quote
> What is the minimum investment a newbie needs?
For a newbie a small investment is better than a big one. There will be losses and you will gain experience from your losses. To prevent those from being too big I suggest newbies to start with small amounts before thinking of something big.

Quote
> How do you select an investment?
Depends on the coins developers and the idea that they are working on. If its unique and the team is real and workign hard then only I invest. However this decision often tends to be a gut feeling which is right or wrong in 50% cases.

Quote
> Do you HODL or day-trade?
Mainly I HODL specially for bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and ripple. For other ether based tokens that seems to be slowing down development I tend to sell 70-80% , get the profit and hodl the rest.

Quote
> If you day-trade - how do you pick a coin that is day-trade worthy?
I dont day-trade so I cannot answer this question.

good question! this is something I have been thinking about for a while
I am working a day job and im not considering giving it up for earning from
crypto, i think its just to volatile and I tried trading but didnt make any
massively noticeable gains from it.

I would imagine to make big useable gains there would have to be a big
amount of investment . . .

I'm not but working part time and the rest of the time I'm investing in Crypto currencies. Invest in new and up and coming alt coins and convert your earnings to Bitcoin where you will hold until your desired price.

I agree with this 100 percent. If you are a new to it, I would just buy and hold in the beginning and not put any significant amount into trading until you become very comfortable and well versed in the charts. It's a very easy way to spend a lot of time in front of the computer at the expense of your social life and still end up losing money. Saying that, once you are comfortable, it can be a great way to make money quickly. Very high risk when you are new to the game.

I think you have to have a p start... somewhere, buy some coin and get into it. I also have livestock, initial buying expensive (hic) as being green but was able to get some good beasts which are now producing - some have turned 1000%. i am willing to have a go, but it also depends on the big river - how much currency do you need to survive ??

HODL - ? longtermish
money still needs to flow through your hands (to survive)= currency

I'd love to do this but it's difficult to find a masternode coin that's still cheap but has some kind of confidence.  I know with confidence will come the price but dropping $10,000+ on a masternode that could die over a year is a bit too risky for me.

i am not, and i don't think if anyone is really doing it is going to come out and give you numbers, publicly!

and you shouldn't even ask these questions about specific "numbers" either in my experience.

if you want to really start living full time on cryptocurrencies, aka by trading them, then i suggest starting small and starting now. start trading, investing or however else you already know to earn money. invest  a small amount of money. a couple of hundreds should suffice.
then after a couple of months (6 for example) come back and reevaluate your performance in the past months. if you earned enough profit (%) to be satisfied then go bigger an go full time.

otherwise just have it as a secondary option, you'll sleep better at nights. trust me.

A BLOCKCHAIN SOLUTION TO DISRUPT TRADE FINANCE

I am not living full time on crytocurrencies. But i can answer your questions.
- There is no minimum investment for anybody, its upto you that with how much amount you want to take risk because its a game of risk.

- For good investment you have to go through with the details of the project, idea behind the project, team, ICOs, etc, etc.

- Till now i haven't invested but my friends are continuously making investement and they mostly go for daily-trade , may be around 60% and rest 40% for HODL.

- For day-trade you have to see the graph of the coin that how the coin graph is going recently. From there you can have an idea that which is worthy.
