I think that developers should not participate in the production of PoS - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xp/address.dws?3.htm.

I think that if the developer stops participating in the development, it will be an interesting project!
Waiting for developer's answer...

Im no longer involved with XP as posted in the original thread/op (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1590538.0).
30+ billion coins have already been given to the new development team which took over this coin over 6 months ago.
The new dev is implementing a change in the wallet in January reversing POS, so POS will not work for people with the largest number of coins, its a little contraversial but fair for people with smaller holdings.
My share is available for investors to purchase should anyone wish to buy a large stake of XP.
Hope that information helps!

Wow the original dev. Hello, thanks for working on XP when you did. I do have one question, how many Experience Points Coins is a small holding, 1 XP? or maybe 0.00000001 XP? Just curious, thanks. To be honest, it doesn't really matter what happens. The thing about Proof of Stake, is that it is inevitable that rich people get richer. It is designed that way, the staking rewards will be reduced, which means rich people will still get richer, but it will be harder to make the coins, which will stabalize the inflation. The rich will still get richer. Correct me if I am wrong. P.S. I like XP coin, dips mean discount coins to me. Smiley

Big wallets get a lot of coins every day and it's seen in the researcher.

All coins in a large purse can be broken into small and medium entrances and receive a lot of coins.

No problem. On the POS thing you'll need to ask Evangelo, I have no idea, as far as I understand POS is being reversed so that people with smaller amounts of XP will be able to stake more blocks, whereas people with more coins will find it harder to mine POS blocks, i imagine you'll still need a few million or more XP to make it worthwhile staking. Ive also agreed to give 25% of any coins mined from POS to the new development team to help them further up until January when the POS changes Smiley

What are you freakin talking about. If you are seriously asking if you will get a bonus on your first purchase of xp coin, you are seriously misunderstanding the nature of cryptocurrency. When you purchase xp coin, you are conducting a third party transaction that does nat involve anyone except you and the seller. So to answer your retarded question, no. You will not recieve a bonus on your first purchase. ><

Alse, XP coin is not new, so there are no first-days purchase.

Just thinking out loud here.

Yes, All coins in large purses can be broken up into small and medium entrances but I do not believe multiple instances of the wallet can run at the same time on a single PC. Therefore the user will have devote multiple CPU's to run the Wallet software on the computer to take advantage of the new reverse proof of stake algorithm. This in theory should speed up the network transactions if people actually do this correct? Making the network more efficient when sending coins? Am I incorrect to think this way?

Also I'm all for the experiment to see what will happen. Not sure how many people will want to buy extra equipment to run XP Wallets just to try and take advantage of the reverse proof of stake. Perhaps if the value of the coin were to sky rocket this would motivate people. Again though even if this happens I believe it has benefit for supporting the network.

I thought the age of premining is over, but it seems it's still very much alive, even with PoS coins! Dev: you killed this when it was still an infant, launched propoerly barely a month ago and already 30+billion coins?

Even with the POS reversal, how on earth is anyone going to believe in the fairness of this? Reversal at this stage isn't controversial, it's wholly inadequate. And now you've washed your hands clean and want to sell your billions.

Just my honest take. Not an attack, I just want you to hear the opinion of someone who clicked this link out of interest, and then lost it seeing this update.

Wow;
I have just seen that you guys are on Nova, I was going to invest a bitcoin, but No Way, I am not going to Nova, that would be a bad mistake.
you have just dropped 64% (Nice one) it would have been a good quick investment.

I would suggest that you get your butt onto Cryptopia asap, everyone is talking about Nova and how it is shutting down.
I have read through all of this and no one at all has told any members that Nova is closing , it has been sold to another company, the other thing Nova is doing ..................
keeping all your coins if you have them in there, they are considering that all coins left on Nova will be declared as the owner not wanting them and they are donated to Nova.

if you wonder why its hitting rock bottom nova is part of it.
I see the Developers have not said a thing or done anything about Nova and that they (the developers) will hope that XP will crash before they start,
this might make them look good. when the coin is renewed.

So I suggest everyone remove all your coins from Nova. and the Devs get this coin to Cryptopia  Huh

OK, so I would appreciate some clarification about the POS thing. I am all for a reversal, but I think it would be difficult to code from scratch, unless you have a coin that already did that. I think it would be better to just lower the reward with a pecentage halving every 500k blocks or something. The current reward is 100% annual interest. Simply half it every so often. This will cap the coins. It is not a serious issue right now, however, the amount of coins is increasing very rapidly. If you (the dev) continue to drag your feet like most coin devs do, you will see hyper inflation. The main problem with that is massive price drops. So, in order to keep this coin from imploding, a reduction in the staking reward percentage is needed.

I have currently gained some value due to the recent price spike. Its interesting that some people only want to buy a coin to earn more bitcoin. I legitamitely would like XP coin to be used as money. The POS framework is stable, energy efficient and reliable, unlike the bitcoin network, which often take a long time to mine a block. Keep up the good work. Smiley
