I have 50% of investment into different altcoins and rest is into bitcoin itself. Plus let me share that I have received equivalent BTG as altcoin because I kept my 50% investment of bitcoin as it is. I use my ether wallet to keep the different alts and re entry started using waves too. For bitcoin it’s all about electrum. The different alts I’m holding are, social coin, NVO, XMR, ZCASH and now my favourite JNT tokens. All of them are having nice projects and two of them already have working model. So they are strategic investment for me.

I like both of your picks. TenX is the most likely candidate for mainstream crypto payment adoption (credit cards/debit cards) and QTUM provides a good infrastructure to combine various blockchains and to launch apps. What other options you have, which are worth looking at in my opinoin is XRP (they by far the most integrated solution is banking and in the Japanese market, which is one of the biggest crypto markets out there) which has a good chance of still appreciating in the long-short term. Other good holding are ETH and BTC. ETH is the main decentralized app platform, which will be huge in the future and Ethereum is the current leader in that field, and BTC to hedge against all the altcoins you're invested in (they usually move the oposite direction, so if they go down, BTC goes up and vice versa).

If you value teams a lot, you probably should look at the following cryptocurrencies:
1. Blackmoon. They have a manager from Coca-Cola and keep gathering people from different countries with various experience fields.
2. Electroneum. This coin is still an ico (tokens are already sold, though) but it's creators are really serious about it. They are British and the CEO is co-founder of SiteWizard and founder of Retortal.com. All team members have good higher education and their advisors are rather known as well.

Ok first off I would like to say thank you to all the advise I have taken in silence over the last couple of years.  Instead of a 6 month hospital stay being a terrible memory, it actually gave me the time to invest wisely and a hopefully long lasting new career.  In fact I didn't even sue the doctor who must of not been paying attention during my gall bladder removal.  

From now on this is my first stop.  There simply isn't enough time in the day to read about all the new ico's and still get anything else done.   I was just trying to decide on an ico to invest in and Electroneum was one on my list.  

I also believe that at the right times, just mentioning a coin on a forum like this in a positive matter seems to have an influence.  I swore ubiq sky rocketed after I asked about it on another forum.  I do like qtum, omg, neo, and go in and out of xrp a lot.   

But what I really am looking for is another good pos coin to get in on early.    Wow, posting actually didn't feel that bad.  It's nice to just be able to have a one-way conversation about altcoins and know the other person at least knows what they are!  I really made out quite well from my bitconnect investment from just a few months ago, even though I felt it was a gamble, I do like to gamble on occasion

I was holding Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin before but unfortunately have it all converted to Bitcoin and then Bitcoin to fiat money because I used it for an emergency that happened way back October. Hopefully by mid December or maybe first quarter of 2018 I will be having Spectre.ai and Soferox tokens to be transfered into my wallet as soon as it will be enlisted on exchange. Coinomi wallet an Android app is the only storage where I hold all my coins and so far so good, I have no issues with the wallet yet. What I like about this wallet is that it has exchange feature of Changelly and Shapeshift so we can buy and sell coins according to coins all time high without hassle. It also supports a lot of trusted coins and erc20 tokens under Dapps.

Yeah, I thought so too but TENX dropped 50% since I bought it. I'm off of altcoins and I have converted them to bitcoin. QTUM is suspect. I bought SALT as well but I think it won't be worth much until they actually launch their loan service.

My strategy is to buy the main coins and then with some of the profits I invest in a few alt-coins. Once they rise, I convert them back to one of the main coins.

I think the altcoins are more like the dotcom bubble. They promise to do a lot, but how many will actually be able to do what they say they can?

TenX and Qtum are both very powerful projects, good picks! But 25 Tenx is kinda low, don't you think? It really depends on how much money you have available to invest, but in general the higher your investment the higher the potential return (and potential loss), but either way, invest in what you are willing to lose.

TenX is cool and you should increase your stake in it, because it's one of the few projects with a working service and real world application. You can already use their debit card and phone app and make various purchases, that's quite rare in the crypto world (a working prototype)

Qtum is quite cool as well because it focuses on the Asian market, which is huge, and it might be much more valuable that it is currently if there will be high adoption rates. It's as well a good hedge against other platforms such as Ethereum itself as it integrates a smart layering system.

I like both of your picks. TenX is the most likely candidate for mainstream crypto payment adoption (credit cards/debit cards) and QTUM provides a good infrastructure to combine various blockchains and to launch apps. What other options you have, which are worth looking at in my opinoin is XRP (they by far the most integrated solution is banking and in the Japanese market, which is one of the biggest crypto markets out there) which has a good chance of still appreciating in the long-short term. Other good holding are ETH and BTC. ETH is the main decentralized app platform, which will be huge in the future and Ethereum is the current leader in that field, and BTC to hedge against all the altcoins you're invested in (they usually move the oposite direction, so if they go down, BTC goes up and vice versa).

I hope so because I am in on TenX but it dropped 50% in price and lower. I should have bought at the bottom. I think the project is great though.

I think Ethereum is the best Altcoin for investment because it's the biggest and ever-increasing price. Some say, in the future their developers will improve the Ethereum protocol so that the price can surpass Bitcoin. I do not know if it's true or not, but we'll see it later in the future. As for me, I use Ethereum as a new source of mine besides Bitcoin. That's because Ethereum's competition is still looser than Bitcoin. The team is a very important factor of the success of the project. If the idea the project is promoting is not that perfect, a very hardworking team may still achieve success by promoting it properly and strongly. But even if the idea of the project is perfect but the team is just goofing around lazily, the project is doomed to die. My very solid altcoins right now include Waves, Ethereum, and POWR.

But the way to make the most off of a small investment(in my opinion) is to find the coins that everyone doesn't know about.  Like ones not on cryptocap.  They're often a lot cheaper and have a lot further up to go and less down.
