Because difficulty is adjusted, it only takes a couple miners to run the whole network. Without people using the coin mining is useless and a waste of energy. Therefore, it is the users and not the miners that is ultimately important.

This is correct.

Ultimately it will be mass consumer adoption that will drive price via supply and demand. At this stage however it is accumulation that is desired. Then as difficulty increases and supply diminishes the consumer adoption phase will move forward.

gld.cryptocoinmine.com has lowered the payout confirm count to 10.

This means coins will be credited to the miners account when a block has 10 confirms instead of 120.

I am doing this as part of the general preparation to start the PPS pool. I have purchased enough reserve to run the PPS pool and lower the confirm rate on the proportional pool.

Enjoy quicker rewards on CryptoCoin mine.  Smiley

It's called price manipulation. Rather stupid attempt I might add, but someone is trying to create the illusion of a rise in gldcoin price. This is pretty much frowned upon, but hey, keep right on buying into that false uptick if you wish. (if it happens)

And yes, you are correct, if the BUY orders for gld do indeed = 600 LTC that is almost 1.million.gld.coin or...  12.5 BTC / $1350 USD

Sorry if I missed your point. I'm a bit tired this evening.

Most people ignore the small orders, if they read a book at all. There are also much larger sell orders close to and above those little ones...

Just felt your snapshot was very selective..and I didn't get your point either really ! ... Anyway, its a tiny market, and as you say, there will always be manipulators.

not selling cheap is price manipulation?  Laughable.  Its just called not selling cheap.

People have no clue how markets work.  BTC is the price it is today because of price manipulation, and so is LTC (even worse manipulation).

Its called trading, and the same thing is done on the trading floors of every futures exchange in the world, traders trading between themselves to manipulate the fools and newcomers into buying or selling orders and then quickly turning around and profiting.

I know people who made 50K a day steady USD in the late 90's early 00's doing this.

(now, please trolls come and call me an idiot because they know better)

/troll

Couldn't have said it better myself.
