I think it'd be best if Cryptsy moved it back to the BTC market soon.

The lack of volume in BTC/LTC trades on Cryptsy is holding GLD back atm.

GLD held the spot as #1 in volume of trades before being moved to secondary market.

I understand that this may be seen as a good thing, but forcing people to buy LTC just to buy GLD is a barrier to entry.

Keep your heads cool folks, we are in for a very big rise in price soon.

My pool deposits to cryptsy haven't been posting for the last 3 hours, anyone else having an issue. They've been pending and new transactions haven't shown up on the exchange as pending despite showing in the wallet address

This has to be an issue with Cryptsy. I suggest contacting their support team.

It was a cryptsy problem and it has been fixed by them.

There is also a workaround that solves the client syncing problems until more nodes can be added to the network.

Please use the following configuration file until more network nodes become available.

Configuration file: users/[USERNAME]/appdata/roaming/GLDcoin/gldcoin.conf

bantime=604800
addnode=207.12.89.2
addnode=72.14.178.111
addnode=208.115.109.157
addnode=88.161.131.83

I have also just updated the original post of this thread with new client configuration instructions.

As far as I know there is no official mac client. You should check it out with the guy who developed yours. On the windows side we're still okay .

I will close the proportional pool once the majority of miners have switched over to the PPS pool.

PPS (Pay Per Share) payout systems are based on difficulty and block reward. Miners are not in contention to get shares of a found block. Every valid share is paid the same rate no matter how long it takes to find a block. The number of miners in the pool or pool hash rate does not effect payout.

This type of system puts all the risk in the pool operators hands. Miners get paid the PPS rate regardless of luck or orphans.

The PPS rate formula:

(Block reward - pool fee) / difficulty

For the first week or two, I will not be charging a pool fee to encourage miners to get switched over. After that time the pool fee will be 2.5%. The higher fee is due to the much higher risk on my part, and in terms of other PPS pools is a low-average fee.
