Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

We appreciate your valuable feedback.

The app developer has isolated this issue and found it to be related to the way the App does European decimal formatting. The problem will be fixed and an update released in the next two to three days. Users in the United States are not affected by this issue.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Who you calling dum? I know Goldcoin doesn't actually 'need' to be on another exchange, but its something to do, you know, and may gain some exposure for the coin too. The main Goldcoin trading site is cryptsy.com and people will obviously go to the exchange that has more liquidity more often. Just makes sense, or are you too dumb to figure that out?

I tried to go and vote, but the poll/page is not giving me the ability to vote, but only shows me the vote results only. I left a post for them to fix their poll, because it isn't workng, at least for me anyways.

Oh, its possible that I already voted maybe prior to you telling us about this microguy, as I just noticed that GLD is boldened on the poll page, which usually means that I already voted. strange, I don't remember voting in this particular poll

Spreading an already thin market across exchanges well Sad nice own goal already with the btc/ltc cryptsy market, you gld ppls also be best actually supporting your coin on the exchange, seems your all have the faith when its pumped up.

Thank you for the compliment.

The primary reason is because it's the best name possible and has the best chance in terms of mass consumer adoption. We have a long way to go, but so far we've hit every target as our community continues gaining momentum and strength.

I personally view this as an excellent buying opportunity.
and we view it from a difference perspective.
Now I have to wait much longer before dumping it all (ty headless for last time).  Smiley

Update Notice

The development team has just published a non-forking security update to the client that adds extra checkpoints. Notice for non-windows users: The GLDCoin directory has been renamed to GoldCoin (GLD), you will have to move your wallet file manually. As always for all users, we recommend taking a backup of your wallet.dat file.

You can download the latest update here: http://gldcoin.com/get-started/

If you have any problems installing the latest update, you can get assistance directly from the developers in our new support forum: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?board=22.0

We are also pleased to announce a new Goldcoin faucet: http://goldcoinfaucet.com/

Great to see GLD doing so good. People keep asking me why I like GLD over "x" alt coin.

Simple, I like the name and the Dev Team seems to really care about the coin.
