Is it possible to use bitcoin like offline currency?

Few days ago a friend asked me this questions. But i cannot understanding that how to i give him answer. At last i said him that, bitcoin is an online currency. Only this currency used in online marketplaces. It is not possible to use it in offline marketplace like offline currency.

hahahahaha .. i do not know if bitcoin is still there or not if i have died, surely i will inherit my wallet to my children. now a bitcoin wallet can be a legacy for our children and grandchildren .... maybe 10-20 years later bitcoin will still exist and will grow, time we rest and our children who will continue it, even then if the regulations in the world are still aligned to bitcoin, we continue the bitcoin continuity to the next successor. that is my opinion ... thank you

I don’t really think so that there is any possible way using which we can use online currency like that of offline currency. It is not only bitcoin but all other coins there in the crypto world do need an internet connection. Only then you can go for doing any kind of operation. The main idea behind this concept of digital currency was to have such sort of currency for this world which can be regulated using internet. Without internet, you cannot use it.

Bitcoins are digital currency leading to a better future. Bitcoins are not yet found in any hard copy or paper currency but just we have online access to our bitcoins so yes, currently it is not possible to use bitcoins in any offline business.

Currently it is really not possible as internet is necessary for bitcoin use, but in future we do not have any idea in advance that either it will become possible or not. My personal vies is that it may not be even possible then, because bitcoin is created as online currency and for using bitcoin online we must have an internet connection, although it will become possible to use bitcoin in local shops for shopping but still we will need bitcoin for using bitcoin even in local shops.

There is no possible way using which you can use any of crypto currency as offline currency. It is next to impossible sort of thing.

I don’t think so that this will be possible ever bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies do need an internet connection. Without having the facility of internet, we cannot do anything related to any sort of operation on any of the digital money. Internet connection is the must thing we need to have. Offline currencies and online currencies are entirely different things and there is no way we can treat both of them like the same way.

As far as I know one is able to create a transaction offline, but to get the transaction verified and on the blockchain you need miners that are connected to the internet. I think the whole idea of blockchain currencies is depending on the internet, otherwise there cant be a distributed ledger, if everyone has his own offline ledger, that would make no sense. Then we could also start writing transactions with pencil and paper, but noone would be able to verify if they are legit or not, because nobody is connected to each other.

In our country bitcoin is used same as like offline money, for example paying of bills, remittances and e-loading these are the transactions were used bitcoin. However buying goods or items using bitcoin in the market is not applicable for now.

I think it's impossible at the moment cause Bitcoin is a digital currency so internet is needed when anyone want to use Bitcoin. Beside Bitcoin is not legalized in any country yet so we can't use Bitcoin for payment directly.

The most important thing you need is having the facility of internet. Once you’ll be using an internet facility, then it will no longer remain the offline currency and the actual concept behind all this was to regulate such kind of currency which you can use using an internet connection.
