I have researched the project today and decided that it was quite nice. I made a platform for demo. I went in and looked at it. It can be very solid if it is developed. There is not one structure working on this blockchain on blockchain.
Thanks for the support! Fortknoxster is one of the few ICO's with a working product. However, the platform is still currently in demo mode. Here are some things we know:
1. Blockchain integration is in roadmap - at present the keypairs are stored on the server, the private keys encrypted with a derived key from the user’s password which is never sent to the server (FortKnoxster never has access to the private keys).
2. Group video call is disabled in demo.
3. Sign up in mobile apps is disabled and will be available in January 2018.
4. Decentralized storage (and rewards for offering your space for FortKnoxster’s micro-files - which won’t ever reflect a whole file in one location, thereby ensuring security) is also on the roadmap. First version with all features is Q2, while many of the features are already done and working. Right now everything is hosted in Switzerland and all the storage is centralized, using distributed and high-performance data storage. File storage is, at present, end-to-end encrypted - like everything else in the platform. Eventually, with decentralized storage, there will be thousands of computers that are hosting pieces of the files that are encrypted anyhow - for further protection.
5. P2P calling, completely encrypted and between devices. It uses webrtc, supported by Firefox, Chrome and Opera. Webrtc is also consumed by the native apps. By default the protocol is end-to-end encrypted.
6. Signaling for audio and video calls is done on top of the end to end encryption that allows regular chat.
