We added Yenten to the Cheddur app (https://www.cheddur.com)! This will help new users learn about Yenten and join the community. Cheddur allows you to link wallets, exchanges, and other services that support YTN so that new users can easily get started. You can also review the project and post your YTN addresses on your profile to receive tips / payments / donations in YTN from other users Smiley

Can others from the community please review the profile for quality and help add supported services? The more active the Yenten profile is (via user reviews and addresses), the higher it ranks in search results and the more likely newcomers are to discover the Yenten project!

Price fallen.. great opportunity.
  Buy buy buy..

Can someone tell me why is this coin special and why is it needed in the crypto world???
Coin-based algorithms make the generation of crytocurrency signals on the GPU slower than the CPU. This initiative reduces energy consumption, reduces CO2 emissions. We have a huge community, a cute website, fun and github constantly updated.

There are 7,600,000,000 people in the world but there will only ever be 84,000,000 Yenten in existence. Now is the time to stake your claim to a couple coins, i think.

So I have started mining Yenten as a test to see how it works.
First I tried the internal miner and got something like 1100 H/s with my Ryzen 7 1700 (not overclocked).
It seems using 12 threads give best performance (just did a Quick check).

Now I am mining with cpuminer-opt 3.7.7 and get 1020 H/s so hashrate seems a Little bit lower than mining with the wallet.
I am using Linux and have compliled both wallet and cpuminer myself.

So is this a normal hashrate with my CPU?
Is there a better miner than cpuminer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326803.0)?

Can someone tell me if it is really worth to get some of this coins?
Or not worth even to spend time on it?

OK so I started mining this yesterday, about 19 hours ago... I have it running with the crypto-n engine pool and depositing into coinsmarket
so far 0.5 YTN have turned up in the wallet. woooo I made 8cents  Grin

I've got the miner running on a normal laptop at home and I also created a free aws account with a basic server just to test.

How can I improve the performance? also what does the text in the miner mean, things like 'accepted 99/100' for example?

I'm a complete newbie to this

When you do the mining, the miner submits the shares . So 99/100 means you submitted 100 shares and 99 were accepted.
This is fine, nothing to worry about.
You get the rewards based on the shares you submit and it depends on the hardware capability.
