Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years

As of now bitcoin was indemand to many people on holding bitcoins,based on my speculation I think lots of people hold btc for more than 3 years because  it will get more profit in a long term investment.And as time goes the price value was flactuating and still increasing anytime so they are more excited to hold btc for long term.

It does looks really good, and it's really a perfect profit. But for the people who are holding in this very long term, i think the these people are not indiscriminate and have a deeper depiction of the future of bitcoin.
No matter how many it is.. which obviously i think it's just a few and not much to doing that.

For all in here, is there anyone who are dare to hold for 3 years from now? for me personally, because i do not really have an depiction about bitcoin that would be more peaking for the next 3 years, i haven't dared to doing that, maybe i'll stop in the middle journey.

The key is to always hold an amount of BTCs. There isn't problem in selling some percentage of your total held amount every few months or even that a good opportunity appears since you don't sell all your BTCs. Bitcoin's volatility scarry us sometimes, but always keep in mind on long term Bitcoin will overcome all the negative volatility. Also, don't think in BTC's price all the time, forget about it for a while, just store your coins safely and wait.

This way it won't be difficult for you to hold for 3 years or more.

         There are quiet plenty of them around here, as i have been reading here since before, there are few of them who claimed they had bought it when it was still cheaper, while some also just hide their identities and atill remaining quiet about their earnings. As far as i can still remember there is an articke about it, i just forgot the link just try to look for it.

I agree. I think there are some people who have held their BTC for a long time. Just in waiting to actually encash it for profit. However, like the thread said, three years is already a long time, and a lot could have happened within those years. I think that when investing, the best would be a year or maybe a little over it. Having to keep your coins longer than that would be too risky and unsure because of the time period. Also, it's already too long that the end game of gaining profit would be nullified, and I think, the investment won't be as gainful anymore due to the time discrepancy.

Honestly speaking, people now tend to do more the buy and sell strategy than holding for more than 3 years or less. Because as they se that they get profit everytime it pump they do selling of it and wait until its price dump again before they buy it. It was a good strategy indeed because as you get profit from it compare to holding for 3 years which you are not that 100% sure on the result of bitcoin price.

Wrong. Most of those people aren't waiting to turn it to cash, but to turn it into goods and services. Many people, including me, see BTC not like a bond or a check that has to be cashed in, but as a currency that just doesn't have enough merchant support to be used with ease, but this is coming and it's coming fast. 2 years ago I couldn't really do anything with my coins besides selling them on an exchange. Now I can buy goods on Amazon, order food online, even pay the dentist nearby. Times are changing and that's what you should be looking for. Goods and services, not fiat!

Yes, its must be amazing when they know their profits right now. I think not many people who can hold that long because they buy it with very cheap price. They must be very patient with their investment

I've seen many people in this month were sold their bitcoins due to market crash. but i still believe there still much people are holding bitcoin for 3 years.

I don't think there's a lot of people who can do that. Maybe those who were born rich. If a person was born in MID class or even lower, the tendency of needing money is very high. 3 years without converting your money to cash might be impossible since we needed money for everyday needs. But if a person has a decent job who pays more than what he needs, he can try holding BTC for 3 years. It will be worth it!. I'm sure a lot of company owners invest a huge amount of money on bitcoin because of its potential.

I think only a few people are holding BTC for more than 3 years in that you also one person. even I am using bitcoins when the price was $300 but i sold my coins when i felt the price was high. If I hold those coins from last 3 years what I sold now I become a milliner.

I'm looking for more actions on bitcoin after a couple of years maybe 3-5 years so I'll be one of those people who can hold bitcoin for more than 3 years. Mostly that can hold this for long are only making bitcoin as their spare investment or they have some other things to do so they don't have to monitor it for awhile and they believe that in the future bitcoin will be worth more than what they are expecting.

If we look at the bitcoin history then we have to come to the value and we noticed that bitcoin values more than the others the bitcoin community is rising day by day and with this all the bitcoin holding make a good change in the market most of the people just earn bitcoin and they are holding instead of using may they have some ways to use the benefit of this currency in the future. So it is good to hold your bitcoin i am one of them who will hold for more than 3 years.

I guess this is debatable. I bet when the holders encounter the highest peak that bitcoin's value reached, they would itch to cash it out because there is no guarantee that such thing will happen again in the future, and knowing people, we are all cautious when it comes to our money. So, holding for three years is quite a difficult thing to do.

I agree, it is easier said than done when holding Bitcoins with all the things it had to survived in the past, but I believe these holders made the right decision and are now enjoying the fruits of their patience. I believe a lot of them are here, sharing their stories and lessons they have learned from Bitcoin.

Yeah because they considered bitcoin as an asset and believe that someday it more valuable. Those people able to hold bitcoin that long is now reaping their fruit of patience. Those people of course considered it a long time investment that’s why they can afford to hold that long. And also considered a precious entity like gold or diamond that the value never devaluate.

There are many people who uses bitcoin because of its giving benefits. They invests into bitcoin with two different ways. Some of them invests their money for short time and some people likes to invest into here with a long term investment.

If anybody can invest their money into there and can hold their money for more than 3 or 4 years then they have a very big chance to be a very successful person if their luck shines because before some years its price is almost zero but now at a time we all know about its price and it will be more at future if there not any occurrence happens. They will get more profit than they expected and that will change their life.

This is a funny question, but also a quite intriguing one. The point is that most people, once they feel that they are gaining enough for their needs and wishes, would probably sell their bitcoins for FIAT. So HOW MUCH is enough for them? And alternatively, if the price should tank, how much can they hodl before capitulating?

Depends on the amount and how much money you have. If I know that I can afford  to hold 1 BTC or even a few BTC for a few years without needing the money for anything - why not?
