Both. :-)

Short term: 100% BTC

Long term: 40% ETH - long term potential, will power all utility tokens
40% APPC - appcoins.io, low hard cap $15.3m, very strong user base but very low profile team
20% BTC - nobody is fired for buying BTC (unless working in JP Morgan)

ICO is bit risky , cuz we have to choose right one , if we fail we may lose our $ :/ , if you don't have experience before don't invest on ICO's

Investing in ICO is associated with very huge risks of fraud at this time. And to distinguish good ICO from fraud is quite difficult. Investing in bitcoins carries less risk, so I would advise you to invest while in bitcoin. If it falls in its value, it will rise after a while and give a good profit.

I'd say go buy bitcoin right now because the bitcoin's value this month is rapidly increasing and it would benefit you a lot if you do buy bitcoin today, it's like a short-term investment but surely you will gain a lot. If you want a long-term investment you can find some other ICO's out there but i'd prefer going to my first advice. It's up to you tho.

If you are sure the ICO is sustainable project, then invest in it at the bonus rate, and resell it as soon as it hit the market.

It depends only on you. No one will give you advice that suits you. If you like to take risks, do not regret that you lost money and are diverse in your choice, then invest the most money in ICO. If you value every cent and are conservative in your views, then choose bitcoin as a reliable coin.

I posted this thread because I  have money right now and was thinking to like invest!
I wanted to know is it is beneficial to invest in new ICO, or should I just buy some BTC and wait for the value to increase.
It's denpending on your investment cap.
If you're big investor then BTC is nice one. as you post this on Oct now you will see huge return already. But with small cap Yyou can focus on the altcoin such as Litecoin total under value and it have nice run today 60%+

If i were you i will invest in altcoin rather than invest in bitcoin. I will invest in altcoins that have similarities with BTC. But if you are investing really big you should invest in bitcoin.

I think bitcoin price has already skyrocketed wait for a decent dip or correction before entering now as entering now can result in loss.

You should invest in a new ICO because you have a higher chance to make more money in ICO rather buying bitcoin because if you will buy bitcoin then you are at risk of losing some of your money since the price of bitcoin is already on the peak you should be careful in entering the market of bitcoin.

If I were you I would divide my deposit and invest money in Bitcoin (80%) and in the most promising ICO (in 3-5 projects - 20%). I think that this strategy could save your deposit from a big loss.

It depends on you, Honest Investment is a BIG thing and you have to learn what to invest first and the risks behind every investment. It also depends on what you invest ICO, some ICO or say it's the ICU you invested. Again, maybe Altcoin or BTC, Investing has a big, risk

it all depends on you, if you have enough funds maybe bitcoin is the promise, but if you have funds that are not so much maybe ICO is the solution Smiley

Well if you are looking for long term investment than you can invest in bitcoins but not now as the prices of bitcoins has just at the peak so there is a risk so wait for drop else investing in ICO is not a bad deal if you looking for short term investment as you can invest in many projects. It also depends upon the amount of money you are investing if it's a huge amount try to invest in bitcoins and also there is altcoins to invest in they have also shown great growth like ethereum litecoin or even dash.

It depends on what you want, or what are your expectations.

ICOs can me whatever the devs what them to be, and sometimes its a scam. Or they are all scams. Or all alt coins are scams as a friend of mine tells me so often. The good things is that you can choose and the gains are multiples of what you invest/bet, so its a great source of income

Buying BTC on the other hand seems to be much more profitable, if it does not dump.

Both have risks, IMO BTC has less and it depends on your knowledge and ability to manage risk. If you can, split your investments and try both to see which ones fits your profile

if its cheap and promising, why not to invest in a decent ico, but nothing more than 5 % of your total funds, lets say bitcoin eth and litecoin are far better investing options imo
