I think you should invest in new ICOs. Bitcoin is a great crypto currency, it wsa the fist one, but today a lot of new projects are represented. We have a chance to be a part of crypto world. Wich ICO to invest in - depends on what are you looking forwsrd to and expext from them. But many Altcoins have those advantages, that Bitcoin doesn`t. That`s why I`m sure you should invest in ICOs.

i prefer to buy bitcoin because it is tried and tested and also unlike with ICO you are not sure on the ICO but with bitcoin it is ok if you do not do your research because it is tried and tested

i think it depends on your goal and  make quick money or invest for the long term. buying bitcoin is for the long term, if you are not to do trading. ICO can be best, however you need a good research about the ICO

I posted this thread because I  have money right now and was thinking to like invest!
I wanted to know is it is beneficial to invest in new ICO, or should I just buy some BTC and wait for the value to increase.
Better to have partition of your money to be parted into investing into new launched ICO projects which you think that will be beneficial for you to better gain a profit to regain what you have spent in investing into such ICO you have chosen. You can also do buying of Bitcoin now that the price is currently on the downside so it is more affordable to be bought and just wait for it to rise up again to regain what you have spent buying it.

You can invest in BTC, but in my opinion you should also invest in ICOs. Check out this article https://steemit.com/crypto/@bijeeshtk/how-i-made-566-gains-by-investing-in-icos
It is really nice. You will get inspired in investing ICOs

You can do both. But because there are so many ICO scams these days, i would suggest you invest MOSTLY in BTC because you have definite profit from that, especially if it rises.

I'd like to diversify 20% to BTC, 40% to alts, 40% to ICOs. There is a huge chance that BTC will drop down below 10k so I don't recommend to keep more than 20% in btc atm.

I would consider doing both, depending on how much you have available to spend on crypto. But do your own research on an ICO you want to invest in to avoid being scammed.

There are cases that some new ICO’s can failed at the end but you can minimize the risk if you’re planning to invest make sure that you will investigate all aspects and possibilities of that ICO. In my opinion, a lot of ICO projects are promising nowadays, which come up will it’s unique features and benefits and I guess we can get much profit from them if we keep supporting to that certain project. I’m willing to wait until that project will bloom in the future so I prefer to invest to some promising coins rather than bitcoin. But if you want to invest for a safer option put your money to bitcoin.

I would recommend for both, but since BTC is sleeping right now, you should leave your investment there whilst looking into new ICOs.
There are ICOs that are promising but you need to do research before actually committing.

I think you should do a research first before investing to a new ICO. It is now more riskier than just buying and holding BTC in your wallet. Today's ICO projects are sometimes not profitable anymore.

BTC for sure has a tremendously high value, thus, if you buy and decide to hodl, you will generate a significant return on income. This is a good decision, in my opinion. Nevertheless, a new ICO might also have a huge potential in terms of raising a lot of capital in a timely manner. The trick here is that you need to read a lot, in order to know which ICO would be the best long-term decision for you. There is a company called Giftz and currently they're partnering with BlockV, with the intention to deal with ICOs. I personally read the articles about it and they surely look tempting. You might want to take a look - two hours ago, I invested in the ICO which they created, as it has a lot of credibility and potential. In case you are curious: https://www.coinstaker.com/giftz-forms-alliance-blockv-bring-augmented-reality-loyalty-based-blockchain-program/. I hope this helps.

I think that the question is about your capital, It is given that altcoins is cheaper than bitcoins and it is good for trading if you want to practice. Next is that, You can work on bounty campaign if you do not really have the good amount of capital to start otherwise just invest on bitcoins immediately.

If you have already invested in BTC then HODL it and perhaps take a small portion of that investment and invest in ICOs that you feel it will be successful.
If you have no investment anywhere then do your research and look for a good ICO.
I recommend DIW token, it looks promising and you can find it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2682890

Searching for a good ICO could be tricky but definitely rewarding. Bitcoin has gone up to high quite quickly so i would be tempted to go for an ICO of my liking and perhaps an altcoin with high upside.

You can do both. This way you can minimize your risk. If you have invested in Bitcoin already, you should keep it, because Bitcoins is a little slow right now. In the same time you can search for a promising ICO. There are some very promising ICO's, but you have to do your own investigation before committing your money.

I think that you can divide your budget. both BTC and ICO are really potential to give you profit. If I were you, I will spend 70% my budget to buy BTC and 30% to buy tokens, My suggestion for you is Envion project which has mobilized over $41 millions.
