I think airdrop present the project to the people without investing any money on it. Also, this gives the opportunity to create the hype without spending too much money on marketing.

because Airdrops is consider ICO but it is through action, like register, promote the coin or something

Airdrops are very beneficial but that all depends on your luck whether you receives the altcoins or not. But saying that these airdrops could lead to end of the ICO's then you are wrong . Both have different benefits and both are collectively good. So, don't think that airdrops can lead to end of the ICO's.

Airdrops are premined scams nothing more than that but it does give people the chance to earn some quick bucks.

That is my experience on joing airdrops that is found inside forum, a lot of them had red tags and needs more steps before sending little tokens into your wallet so now I don't participate any airdrops because it's too technical and will take a lot of time and afterwards you'll get a little value. Useless isn't it?
Not I'll take my chances on joining Bounty campaigns for sure bounty and payouts.

There is nothing in common between Airdrops and ICOs.

ICOs are used to collect funds as a crowd fund from investors to start up an upcoming project. These investors are rewarded with tokens that have value and use later on in the market and the project itself.

Airdrops are a joke really. There's nothing serious about them. Just start a token and give 1k-2k people this token.
Market it for a week.
Hit exchanges.
Boom dev makes a lot of money.
All sell and the token is dead.
Repeat.

This is literally what goes in it. Airdrops are not to be taken into consideration in any way. Although they can be a funny way to get some extra free cash.

And yes I participated in a few during October and got about $130 out of them as a total. So yeah. Not bad.
I guess it should vivid and clear right now that one should never invest or buy into these airdropped tokens as once they go down, they keep going that way.

Some airdrops are totally legit, but others are total scam coins. Just be safe investing additional money and if you do, make sure you research first! I could say the same thing about ICOs though... Be careful investing and research first so you don't get burned.

So many airdropped scam tokens are flying to moon. This is not good for crypto business in general.

One good example is omg, they did drop 5% of the supply as airdrops and it does not affect the price of the tokens.

A way to distribute a certain amount of coins to the public for free.  It's one way to get a project popular or to build hype for it.  When the coin becomes noticeable, real buyers will join in and invest to that coin.
There's a lot of airdrop scam out there so be careful filling up forms and such.  Thank you.

Airdrop Is  great  idea for  marketing strategy to  make  anonymous altcoins  known and  Ico's should not be  ended due to this.  it  very small amount  given to  some  people  who  interested on it.  Airdrop are excellent  opportunity for those  who  are starting to  crypto world.

Not all airdrops are worth joining. Carefully select the airdrops you subscribe to. I do know a few people who make money out of airdrops so yeah, they are indeed for real once their coins get listed on exchanges.

Before these airdops become a trend, MGO airdops are really a good one like the value in the market is pretty good and people who had it are lucky enough to have those.

Airdops now are like mushroom in the forest that pops up every where and it's actually quite alarming as some people use this as a way to scam and take advantage to people. Yeah there are some that really promising once they got listed in exchanges and some are just all pure hype of its devs. So better be picky in joining as you're inputting yout email address that can be use for their personal interests.

I love airdrops. It's easy, doesn't take too much time, and you can get free money. Of course most of them made of air and have no future, but who cares if you have a chance to get an easy tokens?

better than ico but no where near as good as POW as a method of initial distribution to start a trustless decentralised project.

POW was how satoshi went for a reason. Anything else requires trust at the start and this is where the issue is.

I certainly do not see them being the end of ICOs, airdrops raise awareness and distribute coins freely whereas ICOs are used as a way to raise funds so that teams can work on their projects. Without ICOs they would not be able to exist.
