For ERC20 Token, you need some Ethereum in your wallet if you want to transfer the tokens to another address. You have to pay some gas with Ethereum for the miners (so it may be expensive to transfer if the coin don't have a lot of value...). For other coins which have their own wallets, you don't need Ethereum or Bitcoin.

Unless specified by the organizer of the airdrop it's not require to hold coins or tokens in your wallet to receive the airdrop. There's no technical reason that prevents the transaction.

It will find the Bitcoin core installed, to steal your Bitcoins. It will look for ETH private keys and record your keystrokes. Airdrop that gives coins thru Waves wallet and ETH wallet are the only safe ICO.

it all depends on airdrop rules that you follow, there could be a rule that prohibits newbie and some that allow newbie. And also the most important thing you should have MyEtherWallet, because airdrop mostly wearing the wallet. not just airdrop, bounty campaign project was mostly wearing the wallet.

most of the airdrops are ERC20 tokens.so you need a myetherwallet to get your airdrop.i saw some airdrops need small amount of ethereum in your wallet,just to avoid scammers.but it is not necessary for every airdrop.you can participate any airdrop if you have the requirements they asked for.

no you don't need to, but some coin can require it like bitcore, for the claiming you need to sign a message of your bitcoin wallet balance, other airdrop are free they happen as intended, just leave your wallet address, it depend on the coin

To get any airdrop you should have a wallet. The type of wallet depends on particular type of project where you participate. If it's ERC20 tokens you should have ethereum wallet that supports ERC20 tokens, like MyEtherWallet. But be careful and try to avoid scam sites which tries to steal your private key.

I'm never joined airdrop before so AFAIK there are many malware that infect on the most airdrop's wallet , is that true ?
Is there any way to select best airdrop between the "honest" and "scam" airdrop ?

Depending on the needs requirements of the Airdrop coin token. But most of the time they ask for Ethereum erc20 not from exchange but from ethereum who has private key, For them to received their payment

I  had asked about this past day in this forum.Most people said some airdrops only  want ETH balane on their wallets.Because for transactions we have to pay transaction fee using ETH.Most of airdrops do not ask the Eth balance.If it wants they notified it as red letters or using special eye catching method.

It depends on the rules of an airdop, some airdrop need some task to finish first before  you get airdrop and some aidrop only need to fill up their registration form to participate. Most airdrop coins are erc 20 token and myetherwallet.com is one of the best wallet to use in storing the coins you will be getting from an airdrop

Oviously you can join any airdrop without those are asking for few $ sent to their own  address and who asking private key to join airdrop.avoid them to keep your account safe. And mostly airdrop now a days want etherneum address for signup because these coin are made in etherneum platform. And rest are asking their own coin wallet address.

You can oarticipate in airdrops but you first meed to have an ether wallet. You cam use myetherwallet if you want. I use it too. But there are a lot of wallets around there that supoort etherium.
Also, you need to have waves wallet. Because some coins are waves based. And sometimes you need to download wallets that are made by the ones giving airdrops.
Others require an amount of existing etherium balance.

All you have ro do is copy the addresses in the forms together with other requirements, make sure the wallet address is correct and that it is not your private key.

That's pretty much it i think. Hope this helps.

Usually in airdrops do not require you to have ethereum nor bitcoin balance in your wallets, but others do.
 But if such things happen just be careful because this could be scam. So just do research about them, or check out their website, if there is something suspicious then its better not to participate in airdrop.

Airdrops are not scam. There is a lot of airdrops that gives out too many which cause the price of the tokens to be worthless. However, there are also some good examples. Just like omg which gives a 5% of airdrop using the revenue made over the year.

I agree with your points. Many newbies simply search the forum for airdrops without doing proper research and end up losing money due to careless mistakes which could have been avoided if they would have done proper research. So many forms ask for private keys which smart people avoid, but the newbies fall for it since they think it is necessary. Never provide your private key and don't invest anything that you are willing to lose are the two safest rules to follow in the crypto world.

certain airdrops do require this and then they will match what you have... just remember never give your private key when an airdrop asks for it. If you do they will have access to your entire coin collection

Every airdrop is different, some airdrops manually check the applications/responses, like you need to have a minimun of 0.1 ETH to be able to qualify on their airdrop. Some may don't have such qualifications.
