For me its not recommended to hold on to them especially in long term. Most of airdropped tokens are shit coins, so you must sell it as soon as you receive them because its price will go dumped.

I think that in the case of airdrops it is worthwhile to throw a coin, deciding sell immediately or not.

it depends on the airdrop, if the airdrop has a roadmap and a good dev team and a strong community support then it is good to hold that coin otherwise you have to dump that shitcoins. i have try to hold 10m coins like exrn because as what they promise they will give 10 reward for other tokens if we hold it for more than 6 months and never transfer on any exchange site, they have a road map the only thing i do is to trust that project, there is nothing to lose.

Hello, Yesterday I saw some increase in my total estimated token value, and today it dropped significantly. It appears that a lot of people are selling their airdropped tokens as soon as they get them. I have not sold a single token from airdrops, and with the exception of some them, they seem to be mostly losing value in time. Should I do the same or hodl hoping that some of them may increase in value, closing the gap I lose in the process?
I sometimes participate in the Bounty and airdropped. And these the tokens I left in storage for a long period of time - six months or a year. I studied statistics and noticed that the price of some token increases by 20-100 times! That's why I will keep tokens.

It's depend, if the project of that airdrop is really good and have a big future i will no sell my airdrop tokens but if the project is trash and the dev is like make that project only for quick bucks then once the token listed on the market like etherdelta go sell it before the price dropped.

If you are not so sure about what you should do with free coins then its best to maybe sell between 30-70% of these when you get them and hold the rest for few months.

First thing you should do, is study the project and check if they have anything useful going on and if their usecase is essential to daily living then hold onto it and take profits when necessary. I learnt this from my Blue airdrop tokens.

I don't think it's right to do that. You're not even giving the project a chance to flourish before you sell their tokens. Just recently signed up for Polymath's airdrop and plan on holding onto it for as long as I can.

Blue,E-Cash and other tokens today are worth a lot of eth. at the beginning there was only cent. Today you get many dollars. There is a risk of selling them and also a risk to hodl them . You can not lose anything because everything was free. you can only win

As for me, Yes you should. airdrop tokens are just free so i think that the value will decrease further as the time goe's by because people are only interested in the coin because its free and to profit a lot then we should sell it as earlier as they give to us.

Some airdrop are useless coin with no future, so i use to sell them at their first pump because after that they will start to die, so I take an easy little gain and I go on a new airdrop, others are serious project and I decided to hold them till death, they are free so I will never be in loss. Now I hope I will receive my ethlend airdrop tomorrow, seems a nice coin I would love to hodl

It depends on the coin you are in. Most airdrop are from shit coins trying to get a quick buck in etherdelta, but fortunately there are legit ones. You just have to DYOR to decide whether to hold or not. There have been a number of XXX coin ETH version of coins going out lately and obviously they're all shit coins (Etherreum Dark, Blue really??), but there are also legit ones like DeepOnion. They are on round 16 out of 40 and the airdrop rules have changed so far to help accomodate new entrants. The previous system for airdrop participants requires around 10 posts/ week to help promote the coin but right now it was dropped to 5, and the application process was re-worked so that it's easier to join. It's a pretty good coin with a large and solid community, great developers and user interaction and most of all an outstanding product. It's geared towards privacy (which is a must in today's government tracking efforts) and a whole lot mroe of features for a secure transaction in the blockchain. I suggest you check them out and decide for yourself. I'm personally rooting for them to be one of the top tier coins in the privacy sector in the years to come.

Even for very good coins which have very good team and project, when they enter exchange people who got from airdrop sell their coins immediately and dump. I think better idea is to sell and buy again. But if the coin listed in a big exchange such as Binance holding can be a good idea. Because even in one mont it can make 5X.

If the project has a good technology and good developers and you are confident that this project will achieve something in the future,i suggest you hold these tokens until it reached some value in exchanges, bounty hunters are doing this because they arent good at waiting they want to get fast profits from the airdrops and bounties and thats wrong because it can give them x1000 or more in the future by holding just few months or atleast a year.
