There are many causes of road accidents. It is due to the sense of obeying the traffic. spelling, hammering, drinking wine, red light ..... we need to propagate, advertising for people to know the dangerous consequences of traffic accidents. Everyone must practice traffic law.

Lack of punishment is one of the reasons why the people are not obeying the traffic rules. Here in India, if a driver kills someone in a car crash, then he can  avoid going to the jail by paying a monitory fine. Now the government is considering making prison sentence mandatory for those drivers who kills people after getting drunk, but it will take many years to implement the law.

There are hundreds of causes of a road accident, for me, the main cause is drunk driving. When you are drunk you tend to have aggressive, poor judgment, overspeeding, lack of concentration, carelessness etc. I have a friend who is very careful to drive got involved in an accident and he was parked on the side of the road, not moving at all and suddenly got hit by a drunk driver

Ignorance isn't a valid reason at all. It probably is negligence. People know what to do when driving. It's just that there are some who're stubborn enough not to pay attention. Also the existing laws for driving should be firmly implemented. People aren'r afraid anymore to break the rules

It depends on the age group, interestingly!

Young people, 18-25, are much much more likely to crash than those between 25 and 75, but then once we get over 80, the likelihood is even higher than with young adults.

For the oldest generation the causes are kind of obvious: over- or under confidence and reduced reaction speed.

For those in-between I heard something interesting, though I can't back it up, that usually there have to be several things going wrong before an accident happens. On the list of dangerous conditions: distraction, bad weather, bad roads, not having switched or pumped tyres, and tiredness. If you have say 3 or 4 of these at once, accidents tend to happen.

Accidents on our road is inevitable, however there are precautions if when followed can prevent you from avoiding accidents. Avoiding over speeding, refusing to drive while drunk and learning proper road traffic rules can safe your life from unnecessary accidents.

Victims of this cause are not few, so driving while talking on mobile phones is not recommended. However, if it is very urgent and should immediately answer the phone call, try to pause.

Accident is unfortunately matter .Main cause  of accident when driver insincerity. Traffic load is also cause for accident.Road accident  is available in main road.

I bet one of the most probable cause of these accidents is the lack of discipline of the drivers and people who carelessly cross highways. it always lies within the discipline of the people. We have to admit that the roads and the signs are not always to blame.

You may have observed that everyone is in hurry while on road. How many of you leave for for your work or college before time ? I think when someone is leaving for office/college at time then he/she would be in hurry that can also be a cause of accident. There is not even a single road where accident does not occur daily. Thousands of people die each year during these accidents. How can we reduce road accidents?
What are the main factors responsible for accidents in your country ? In my country mostly traffic signal violation.

Here in my country the main cause of accidents is driving even if he/she drunk alcohol, because the effect of alcohol in our body and mind sometimes we dont have control our mind, and we are sleepy thats why some of the drivers accidentally bump. We need to be responsible in driving so that we can prevent accident.

The main reason for accidents on the road, is not knowing and not complying with road rules   Many buy a driver's license without knowing the rules, and go out on the road. Another reason is the fifth driver Being drunk, they get behind the wheel and maim or kill people ... a lot of people

I have a family member who is a very inconsiderate person, and because of that I always thought it was dangerous for him to have a car. Not just inconsiderate, but in a sense out of it. No true understanding for the reasons for rules, and just in general anything going on in the world, so I could just imagine him drunk driving without ever giving it any thought.

I really hate someone who rides or drives in hurry.
Whatever the reason,  they never think that all important reason is their life.
Not only their life,  if he struck other  vehicle,  it can demage many people.
I just thought that why didn't you just go since 5 a.m to take you faster :/
Another reason   for road accident is the rider or driver is playing phone. I often see some people do it, it's like they are too busy then having no time to check their phone in tbe right place.
They are less fokus then  you know what happen for the next.
