Good point. I only watch price in btc. In may price was around 800sat and the cmc place was #70... I see shitcoins that kept ther place thru the "storm"... And I don't understand why ETN just keep going down... I know that we are now in bear market but ETN is in freefall market... Why???
The price of all projects is falling sharply because the overall market is sluggish, you just have to pray and thank you for the team still doing something. not ''of all'', do not be misled! look at Metaverse(ETP) for example - just another fork of the etherium with big premine. the price of this coin (in btc) has increased by half since January this year

I don't know about the KYC thing, if it is good?
What here happens, is that your total privacy is gone, what was one of the fundamentals of cryptocurrency in general.
I hope a face-picture is not needed under the 1000 dolar of etn, if this is needed i am gone.
Never put my face picture anywhere on the internet, don't like it, and always the needed trust in those ' data company's' and always the news, that something being hacked.
Want to share some of personal data, but no face picture.
We the community are ETN, and we must wanted to provide some of our personal data, because this is no democracy policy, this has some fundamentals of a dictatorship.
We are in charge, not the devs, the devs must be in charge of the community.
What here also happens, is that other blockchains may follow with these new ''innovations'' what in other words mean : total control, over your funds and personal data.
Don't like to provide personal data to 3rd party company's, it is only risk for me that my data may be get stolen and zero risk for them.
So double risk: risk of losing invested money + risk that your personal data will not be handled properly.
Hope under the 1000 dollar of etn, their is no need for providing a face picture.
Also ''fake identity'' like yoti has zero usefull information, because it is no valid identity.

KYC is required to secure the big deals.
If you don't like this feature then you are investing in the wrong coin.
The KYC bull is coming so strap in and enjoy the ride!

There is a video about the KYC and they're plans on the Electroneum Facebook page. In short they are integrating Yoti(a KYC service) with the wallet and it will be mandatory in a month or so. This is indeed great news!

This is indeed great news! I see. While I understand KYC will enable acceptance, I am a really really small investor. I have 20$ worth of ETN at the moment and for such a small amount I am not ready to give my documents to them. Nor for 50$ (if it grows to that). I am ready to do it when I am ready to cash out and that won't happen unless one ETN is worth at least 1$ (which might be just a dream). So what I would like to know is if transferring to an exchange or keeping funds in a paper wallet will also require KYC.

Far in the future all entities that handle crypto will be self regulated.

I have to admit the instant payments that are supported by institutions because of KYC are a good development.

As I have been away for a few days, I just learned about the new KYC implementation. Although it took me by surprise, after watching the video it made a bit more sense. In summary, it is required for many of the partnerships / MOUs (as "lawyers don't like the anonymity of crypto"). Soft-launch began on the 10th of this month and it will be optional during the first 30 days, but after 30 days it will be mandatory (will be split into two tiers). If you want more info, be sure to watch the video.
"On our latest video, #Electroneum CEO Richard Ells talks about KYC (Know Your Customer) and our newest partner, @GetYoti, who we’re working with to deliver it. Check it out here:https://www.facebook.com/electroneum/videos/516919168748902/"

It would be interesting to see the instant payment system compared to Digibyte. This coin is also fast as hell.

This is another great achievement which is going to bring the ETN back in the game with instant payments. Once the platform was secured with that kind of testing after that instant payments are one more step towards a mass adoption and make it real usable coin. I was watching the development on this feature and finally it is here.

No, it is really not. DGB is getting beaten by faster competition. It is an old coin that never grew significantly in price either. ETN is much better.
