At the rate it's going, we should expect a bitcoin to hit the $10000 mark in 2018. Who knows, it could be more. I really think this is the time to acquire more bitcoin for the future.

yeah 2017 interesting year we dont know end of year price , some goverments  banned , some companies take some domains like amazonether amazonbitcoin amazoncrypto like that and aprox 60 days later 10.000 usd bitcoin whynot

2017 has marked a new era for bitcoin simply.
First, you see Bitcoin having fork giving rise to Bitcoin Cash and then China bans ICO which affect Bitcoin adversely showing a great dip in the market but then after one month there is coming of another for named as Bitcoin Gold which pushes the Bitcoin to new limits. So, definitely 2017 been a crazy year, also created history with new facts and instances.

We might not see this rate of growth for bitcoin any more or at least for a while. More public involvement would mean great long term growth for the bitcoin market but also perhaps the less fluctuation. 2017 is the year for bitcoin.

I remember that on 1st January 2017 , the price of bitcoin is about $1000, but now we can see the price is already over $7000. To be honest, that is why some people said this is bubble since the unbelievable rising of bitcoin. Bitcoin used to worth less than a cent back then. No one believed on bitcoin and never expecting bitcoin to live this long, let alone the price. But here we are, with bitcoin standing at $7300 and people still screaming that it will be dead soon. We can expect the price to go above $8000 within the end of the year if no issues arises.
Bitcoin might take over the traditional banking system but not anytime soon.

The Bitcoin price really has been crazy this year. When you remind me that the price has risen from $1000 to $7000 this year, it tells me that one of the following things happened:

A) Bitcoin was extremely undervalued before 2017 and is now where it should be or is trying to get to where it should be; OR

B) Something happened this year to make Bitcoin worth 7 times what it was at the beginning of the year; OR

C) Bitcoin is in a bubble and will have a huge crash at some point.

Of course it could be somewhere between A and C if Bitcoin was undervalued and has shot past its real value and is in a small bubble. I don’t think anything significant has happened to make B the the correct choice.

Honestly it was expected by the majority, not just because they are a hardcore bitcoin enthusiast but they have reasons to believe that is bound to happened, including me. Because of that continous price surge, even in our local community on which bitcoin isn't popular much, it gained attention to the point that they are asking me to give them some ideas to earn bitcoin.

Will bitcoin subvert the traditional banking?

It is really a very interesting question if bitcoin will subvert the traditional banking, but as the traditional banking is the heart of the government financing, I highly doubt that they will give up this system. They will likely introduce some kind of crypto currency to imply that they have something similiar to bitcoin, but they still need to create money without real values and this will lead to inflation and probably to a hyperinflation one day!

Yes 2017 is seriously crazy for bitcoin and other crypto currency. This is a year where bitcoin value increase from $1000 to above $7,200 at the last quarter of the year. Although one cannot tell what bitcoin value will become at the end of this year yet, but many of us believe that bitcoin will reach $10,000 before end of December 2017. And with the look of things, 2018 will be more crazy for bitcoin growth as more people will be accepting bitcoin and other crypto currency.

Actually its only exponential growth ,I am considering 2018 will be same as 2017.
This is really sencible move from investors allover the word they found bitcoin sustainable and good in technology that they can trust.
So this rise is expected.
We are aiming for 20k now.

Bitcoin is really crazy for this year. Maybe start this year bitcon rate 1200 or somethings low or high. Now bitcoin present rate 7400$. It is surprise for us. We hope end the year bitcoin touch 10000$ plus. I am waiting for this surprise.

yes, I agree with your thoughts. I see not only can subvert the conventional banking. but from the economic side also that bitcoin can subvert unemployment in every country, provided that people want to learn bitcoin.

The main reason for the price to increase is simply because one of the worlds largest derivatives exchange CME announced that they will be creating futures to trade bitcoin and news is taking the coins to new levels and once they finalize and set things the price would explode without a doubt and finally we are seeing unprecedented growth in the price of bitcoin which i thought would take a very long time.
