I have used it for very small amounts (< 1 ETH) and even then I try to get my coins out of there as soon as is possible. I feel a lot more comfortable with my coins in a hardware wallet, or at the very least on a software wallet such as Mist where the private keys are under my control. To me sending your private key across the web to a third party site just doesn't seem very secure.
MEW safe enough for all the way. Why do you do send our private key to a third party? It's the 1st secret thing you have to protect.
Let's use Json file with password is the nice way to save you. And never reveal your private key to anyone.
yes as far as i know there is no reason to give your private key as this is was your personal copy for you to secure your wallet so lts just store it in safe then dont give it to some site that tell you that need to provide.

Most of the ICO projects I invest in are ERC20 so I have a lot of Myetherwallet. I find the wallet MEW quite simple. You can create yourself a wallet MEW at any time, but sometimes the transaction on MEW is quite troublesome and takes a long time.

I am using myetherwallet. I have safety concerns about in general, what if someone hack the website and inject data to steal wallet passwords? But its so easy and fast that I can't find better option.

I used it, this wallet is personal wallet for Ethereum and all other ERC20 token. This wallet is very safe to hold many  token because we own by our self the private key  But now should extra carefully when login to the this wallet becasue link phising of this wallet is everywhere, always use bookmark link to login is very important to protect all token inside that wallet.

Almost everybody uses MEW. What can I say about it... It's very safe (if you avoid phishing links), convenient and there is no need to download huge files to be able to make transactions.

Me im using myetherwallet and so far i don't have any problem with that wallet maybe because im new to this industry and nothing will lose in me Grin but hopefully nothing would happen that's a heartbreaking if someone will compromised it.But i believe myetherwallet ia safe as long as you wouldn't tell anyone your private key and i know no one will do that, because that would be crazy.

MyEtherWallet has using good systems. When you create new acct there, they will ask you to Download KeyStore file, save this file to you safety folder, because this is your real wallet file. MEW will not have your backup wallet. it is 100% your responsibility.
Still, there is not a 100% perfect system. A system is likely to down because DDoS, system hack, or internal conflicts. So with this privateKey file, you can open your account balance on another wallet services.

The only thing I wasn't able to do - if someone succeeded I'd love to hear - is to use myetherwallet on a mobile device (I'm using Chrome for Android), and to plug my Ledger Nano S using an OTG cable, and to see my balance. It doesn't let me. Has someone succeeded in doing that?

Who uses this wallet? - https://www.myetherwallet.com/
What say about him?

Me I uses that on my account, why would you asked? For me this is the most convenient wallet if you are gonna buy ethereum because this is also the easiest wallet you will ever use. It is pretty much simple like any other wallets just need some password and username. You just need to keep you private key on your documents. And I know all of those ethereum holders have this wallet because this is the most popular wallet. You can even access it without downloading the applications you just need to visit their site everytime you wanted to see your coins.

Myetherwallet is my first trusted wallet, because you're the only one who know your private key and even the myetherwallet creator doesn't hold your private key.

Most of the people here uses myetherwallet. It is the most popular ethereum wallet nowadays. Especially for newbies it is very user friendly and enough safe if your computer is not affected by anything.

I am using myetherwallet and I think if not everyone, most are using the wallet. And I guess it's not prone to scam or hack as long as you keep your private key safe. And I had received advice that whenever you are going to open it, don't open it from any link sent to you.I heard some were hacked by doing it.
