This is so far the best wallet that I have tried for storing my ethers and erc20 tokens. It is safe but you still need to have caution because it is still vulnerable to hackers

It is the best wallet for ERC20 tokens. And if you want to be secured, just don't click random links that aren't familiar to you. That's the reason why the users are being hacked when they are fooled by MEW phishing links and the management of MEW are aware about that. They are warning users on the top of their website that we should follow it or just simply be careful on what you do.

This purse not only supports the ETH and many other coins which are made on ETH. You do not have to be an investor ETH to use this wallet

I do use MEW. It is actually good. But Ive read stories that saying MEW is hackable. A part of me says 'maybe' but I think the most common error is the users. If you think, MEW can be unlock using PRIVATE KEY meaning if you got someone's PRIVATE KEY you can access their MEW without sweat. And I think that maybe the common error. Maybe some of us aren't really know the differences of PRIVATE KEY and ADDRESS KEY. You should knew the difference between those two. PRIVATE KEY's use is to UNLOCK you wallet while ADDRESS KEY's is your wallet's address. To make it more clear think your wallet as your house and your PRIVATE KEY is your key to your house and ADDRESS KEY is you house address. So you shouldnt give out you key right? You can give your ADDRESS but not your KEYS.

i have been a user of https://myetherwallet.com for 3 months now and i feel safe with this wallet but make sure not be fooled by other link pretending to be the real MEW site. always look for something like LLC certificate when opening that page. I coupled my MEW with etherdelta.com for ERC-20 token trading and feel so convenient with it, i love to trade ECR-20 to ETH, it is more fast and secure, although the profit is not that high but my main concern is the transaction speed.

Excellent wallet if you dislike downloading the entire blockchain. I always recommend it for starters as it is really easy to setup, really secure and has built-in advantages
 However be careful because there are people replicating their website and steal private keys. Always check if you spelled it correctly and if it has the SSL certificate.
